A bit off-topic, but I've been watching the old USA La Femme Nikita, and Michael Cera's on it playing a creepy child telekinetic. He's actually scaring me as I watch the episode!

The game captures the comic in a way the film just doesn't.

I'm reading the comic book right now (on volume 2, picking up 3 and 4 and probably 5 cause I'm a sucker) this afternoon. I love the book and can't wait for the movie. Also has anyone ever tried and played the song that they have in the first volume?

Amy Wong?

So I just read that the 6th volume was not used in the film. It should be interesting to see how they deviate!

they integrated slight elements of the 6th durring reshoots from what i hear, I don't know from what extent though

I imagine it'll be like Kick-Ass, faithful until the last half hour, where it will deviate somewhat, but come to the same conclusion.

...
we have a problem I just finished volume 5 and now don't know what to do with myself :(

Someone told me that a lot of merch is coming into a comic book store 3 hours from me in 2-3 weeks. Time to ****e my money out.

Apparently Bill Hader's in Scott Pilgrim. Edgar tweeted:

Just did some final ADR sessions with Jason Schwartzman, Garth Jennings and Bill Hader.

& when someone asked him where, he wrote "Those with sharp ears can hear Mr. Hader in the trailer." In this article on Cinemablend, the author wrote...

He didn't specify which trailer, but my best guess is that Hader's voice is the one shouting "KO!" in near the end of the first trailer. Will he just be a disembodied voice announcing the movie as it if were Mortal Kombat? It seems unlikely we would have gone this long without knowing Hader was in the movie had he actually been on set. I wouldn't get excited for Scott Pilgrim specifically because of Bill Hader, but his voice might be an added Easter Egg to look out for.

This is interesting. I remember Wright posted a pic of him and Hader on his blog last year.

He must be the one who does the video game sounds. "KO" and such.

EDIT: I see you all have figured that out already. Reading comprehension fail :(

My brother was going to be one of the graphic designers for the Scott Pilgrim game, but due to some unfortunate company politics he wasn't able to, and there was apparently some bickering between the bosses over it. He says that the game looks pretty good, but he would have gone in a different direction with the graphics and that in their current form they look "angry." Personally, I think the game looks sweet, but even though I might be a bit biased I liked my brother's designs better.

This was from a fan-game he was making a while back but never finished, but it should give you some idea of what direction he probably would have taken the official game in if the corporate issues hadn't prevented him from accepting the job.

Video gets choppy towards the end, at least for me did.

Here's the same trailer, minus the choppiness.

And I think Michael Cera pretty much has Scott nailed down to a tea. I don't know what the hell other people are talking about.

And they kept in Todd Ingram's "Dust" line! :woot:

:wow::wow: I think I love this trailer more than the previous ones.

The dust line! :D:D YAY!

So amazing.

Also, the game is coming out on August 10th.

Just saw the international trailer... this looks great.

I've never read the comic, so I'm just curious... I noticed Scott is wearing a "Zero" shirt at one point and then also the classic SP Heart shirt... is the character a Smashing Pumpkins nut in the comics? If so, that makes this movie even more awesome. SP is my all-time favorite band.
