Scott Porter IS Superman ?

Ughh is all I can say. This guy is not Superman. What is WB thinking? Not at all i guess. I'll accept him as Flash or Aquaman, but Supes? What in the hell is worng with Routh where WB won't use him?????? This Porter guy just doesn't fit the image of superman. He looks to white if you can understand that statement.

Yea i dont want porter as supes, i would have been fine with him as wally but if the casting is true so far brody beat him out of flash role. Hopefully this all gets resolved soon.

Welling is out, didn't happen, many people tried to no avail, Miller has his own vision for Superman, some people at WB really wanted it, don't know is Welling wanted to do it or not.

And for the Routh fans, like I mentioned before, Brandon was never even asked to audition.

Absolutely! If he won't even comment on the rumors, that's a pretty good sign that he got cast and he's under a NDA, whether it be for Supes or perhaps Aquaman. It seems like if he *didn't* get cast, there would be no reason for him not to talk about it.

Yeah we knew Routh was never in the mix.

The script was written with him and Bale in mind, but since Bale/Nolan didnt want in on this project, there was no point bringing Routh in as well.

So they just decided to keep the solo franchaises seperate.

If MoS is looking at a post-strike 2010 release, it would already be filming before JL comes out anyway.

2010 is the only option for Superman, since 2011 is Batman III.

Well, I don't know how much I believe those stories of Nolan and Bale concerning JL but thats besides the point. I just find it humorous that Rob states that Routh never even got the chance to audition. Why would he need to audition? He's been Superman and did a great job. That's like a team looking to sign A-Rod and telling him, yea but we need to see you in batting practice first, LOL.

Any actor has to audition for anything. Its more of a requirement; besides its a different director.

But yea, I wouldnt want Routh in this if Bale isnt. It just makes things too confusing.

They were either gonna make JL a continuation of BB/SR or a completely seperate entity.....looks like they decided 100% on the later.

Ya know, I'd give Scott Porter a shot as Superman. Obviously he will have black hair, buff a little bit, a little make up for his skin, etc etc. I like him on Friday Night Lights, he is a better actor than little Brandon Routh and he isn't a damn Reeve clone thank god.

I would also give Scott Porter a chance...not sure why though.

He does not represent (face wise) any version of Superman for me, however there is something about his look that truly strikes me as Supermanish (in terms of his presence and piercing good looks).
