Scream 4!!!!!

I remember a bunch of the deaths and Gale exclaiming "Roman was the killer!?" but I don't remember Roman being her half-brother or anything to do with Billy.
It was pretty much all of Roman's "killer monologue" to Sidney to which she pretty much responds 'Shut up or kill me, she's heard this s*** before'
Not a word for word quote, but her basic response before Roman goes to tackle her.

full trailer was great.... but i prefered how the first teaser ended.

Yes, me too! Gale's "Go ahead - if you have the guts!" was much better as the last moment of the trailer, packed a bigger punch. It's still a great moment, though.

WOw, I'm surprised some people have such massive hate for Scream 3. I mean, it's not as good as the first 2, but if you ask me, it's no where near terrible.

Had Kevin Williamson been the writer, Scream 3 would've been a lot better.

I don't remember Roman being her half-brother or anything to do with Billy.

Roman's the reason Billy started murdering in the first place.

The ending of Scream 3 works well within the context of the film itself, as the characters were repeatedly told that all bets were off in the final installment of the trilogy. Just think about everything that Randy left behind in his video tape. IMO, Scream 3 was a solid installment that ties each of the three films together and serves as a fitting ending to the series.

No, it doesn't work at all. All bets could have been off without resorting to such a lame contrived storyline as Maureen Prescott being a Hollywood ****e who spawned a psycho half brother for Sid, who masterminded her murder. It was ridiculous.

Now Scream 4 effectively poops all over the trilogy spiel Scream 3 was spouting.

Go back and re-watch it. The nasty memories will all come flooding back :cwink:

I wonder if they're going to do a new DVD/Blu Ray thing for the original trilogy around the time that the 4th comes out.

Oh, there will be. Anything to get some extra dough in the process.

Well, in this case, I'm cool with it since I've only got VHS for the first three.

I wonder what comedies you guys have been watching where killers jump out with hunter's knives and stab people.

It's both, and the balance it strikes between horror and comedy is one of the things that makes it work. I'm very difficult to scare, especially by a movie, and although I don't think any of the Scream movies are as palpably frightening as, say, The Shining or A Nightmare on Elm Street, there are scenes (I'm thinking of the openings to both the first and second films right away) that I'd hold up against any scene in the greatest horror movies, that do really scare me.

The scariest and most tense for me in the entire trilogy is the scene where Sid and Hallie are trapped in the car in Scream 2.

Alright. I'll rephrase it. It's not scary at all and it's funny.

Scream 2 is Olyphantastic.

Scream 2. UGhhh. There was nothing exciting about it. The beginning blows the rest of the film away. And that car sequence with Sid taking her sweet ass time to get out and doesn't take off the mask......COME ON. I would have expected that from someone, anyone else, but not Ms. Prescott. Timothy Olyphant wasn't very good either now that I think about it. Very forced performance, trying to act all "crazy" all of a sudden. At least Roman was desperate, Mickey was..........I don't know, copy someone else other than Billy Loomis, please.

BTW the drafts of Scream 2 that you can read online are terrible. Don't tell me Kevin Williamson would have been the saving grace of Scream 3 had he properly wrote it. Ehren Kruger was dishing out the script on each filming day, he did the best he could under the circumstances. And since an outline of the story had been finished (which is what Ehren went by) Roman would have still been the killer (along with Angelina). Ugh.

Alliance in Canada has the Scream trilogy available on Blu-ray. They're barebones, but in the 2.35:1 OAR with DTS-MA audio (they're Region A and you can import them). I dunno if Alliance will have video rights for Scream 4 in Canada, though.

I saw the teaser via Spike's Scream Awards. Looks awesome but how the hell did Spike get all of those celebrities for this 'awards' show? It's just one giant commercial for the studios.

Kinda answered your own question there. :woot:

is this a trick question because i have my google results . a lot results. :woot:

JustABill nothing wrong if you were scared when you watched the scream movies. nothing wrong with that. but just because you think its scary doesnt make it scary .

suspense? this is a different story. the movie had build up and a lot of suspense.

I've never been scared by Scream but when it turned out to be two classmates there was a deeply disturbing element whether it was tongue and cheek or not.
Scream 2 definitely played up the scares ,it was more of a horror film than parody/comedy.

Scream is a mix of horror and comedy , not just one .

Which character is everyone looking forward to seeing the most?

Sidney and Gale

Something tells me Jill is gonna die this movie, if not get totally maimed ala Dewey in the first movie.

Sidney, Gale, Kirby, Jill (just to see if she shares cousin's famous backbone), and Olivia.

For me it's Charlie & Kirby. I see those two having good chemistry together.
