Scream 4!!!!!

I saw both Scream 2 and 3 in theaters. Needless to say the experience of watching Scream 2 was so much better than with 3. Not just because 2 is much better, but the audience was much more into it than with 3.

I wish I'd seen Scream 1 in theaters, too.

I could tell you mine . The first Scream everyone seemed to take it in as a serious horror film but they laughed at all Stu's lines and thought Tatum's death was gruesome.

The second Scream was like a madhouse , probably one of the liveliest crowds I've ever been in for a film . Only one guy behind me didn't like the film , when Randy got killed his reaction was "no way he would bleed that much". When they carted Dewey out at the end everyone was cheering though , it was funny .

Scream 3 was kind of opposite ..either people were in there just because or trying to figure things out. I wish I saw it on opening night with a crowd that was more into it. There was a small group of us who marked out at the Jay and Silent Bob cameo.

Stu's improvised lines were pretty funny.

It still kills me when he crosses his legs when Sydney's on the other end of the phone.

Any reactions to the reveal of the killers in all three films? Any sounds of amazement or just silence of wanting to hear the explanation?

Yes, Mrs Loomis got some cheers in my theater. Nobody saw a female killer coming. Especially Aunt Jackie from Roseanne :woot:

Especially her being Billy's mom. No one could ever had seen that coming at all.

"Didn't see it comin' did ya?"

^^ I saw Scream 2 around the time it came out, and finding out Mrs Loomis was the killer surprised the hell out of me, lol.

How old were you dude? You must have been 4 or something?

Anyone know if Marco Beltrami is coming back to do the score?

Yeah, loved that twist. And in hindsight, there was some clues to her throughout the movie. They were just very cleverly subtle.

Sweet. His music was great in those films.

And will "Red Right Hand" return?

Her mentioning that the killer could be from Woodsboro. That's all. :woot:

I was kind of amazed myself to really notice but I remember a collective gasp when Sidney got shot in Scream 3. That one actually had me for a second

LOL, yep that one. Then there was Randy's and Dewey's conversation about possible suspects, and Randy cites Sid's room mate, Hallie, as a possibility. Dewey says serial killers are typically white males, but Randy says "That's why it's perfect. It's sort of against the rules but not really. Mrs Voorhees was a terrific serial killer". Randy citing a famous mother killer there, who was out avenging her son's death.

Then there's the clip they show from Stab with Luke Wilson and Tori Spelling, where they show the scene where Billy tells Sid about his Mom leaving town and abandoning him.

i personally don't have any hope for Scream 4... I enjoyed the first one to some degree, saw the 2nd one and went... "Meh" and the 3rd one to me wasn't even worth watching.

I'm keeping my expectations moderate. I at least expect to be entertained by Scream 4, and for it to be a better movie than 2 and 3 put together, but still not on the level of the original.

The only villains that made any sense were in the first film. Stu and Billy were interesting and while they were nuts, it never veered too over-the-top. The mother in the second film was pretty cheesy and don't get me started on Stu 2.0. Way too over-the-top.

Hopefully the fourth will be interesting.

I honestly think Mrs. Loomis is the best killer in the entire franchise. Anyone who doesn't see that is insane.

I'll agree with that purely for the fact that it was Aunt Jackie from Roseanne, and it was just hilarious to me.

Sid: "You're never going to get away with this"

Mrs Loomis: "Of course I will. Everything's traceable back to Mickey, including the Cop gun he used to kill everybody. But lets just suppose that YOU had gotten hold of the other Cop's gun. And you chased Mickey, and there was a big shoot out and a big scuffle, and you SHOT Mickey. Killed Mickey dead! But not before he got off ONE shot at you. Sooooo have I covered everything? Are there any questions? Any comments? You know what though, who give a flying F**K anyway? Let 'em try and track down the second possible killer. Debbie Salt doesn't exist"

Sid: "You're as crazy as your son was"

Mrs Loomis: "What did you just say? Was that a negative disparaging remark about my son? About my Billy?"

Sid: "No, Billy was a good boy. Billy was perfect. You did a bang up job, Mrs Loomis"

Mrs Loomis: "It's not wise to patronize me with a gun, Sidney. Randy spoke poorly of Billy and I got a little knife happy. I was a GOOD mother. You know what makes me SICK? I am sick to death of people saying that it's all the parents' fault. That it all starts with the family. If you want to blame someone, why don't you blame your MOTHER!!! She's the one who stole my husband and broke up my family. And then you took my SON!!!! You don't know what it is to be a mother. To raise a child, and teach him...and guide him..."

Sid: "And ABANDON him!"

That's my favorite exchange between Sid and any of the killers. Class.

That was a great exchange.

She was pretty great.

It still gets me how Luke Wilson is playing Billy.

"That's the way the cookie crumbles."

The Stab movies had a pretty awful cast from the sounds of it. Tori Spelling, David Schwimmer, the stage coach from Dr. Quinn, Luke Wilson, Jennifer Jolie (I just assumed she played Gale in all three films. I don't think they reference who is playing Gale in Scream 2 and she says she's been playing Gale for 3 films in Scream 3.)

LOL, it was great. I liked how they showed how movies often inaccurately portray details in movies based on true stories. Like Heather Graham as Casey Becker about to take a shower when the killer calls, while also inexplicably having popcorn on the stove at the same time lol.

Jolie says to Gale when they first meet "After two movies I feel like I am in your mind". So she was Gale in all of the movies.

But they never did mention who played Gale in Stab in Scream 2.
