Im not feeling this trailer at all, It's almot like the movie is too self aware. It's ok to crack a few jokes here and there but its almost like these characters have a blue print and map on how to survive, maybe its just me.

I think the trailer makes it look that way, I bet the actual movie will still take itself seriously as a Horror film even with some of it's self-aware humor.

And done so cleverly well... until it became what it was mocking in the third film.

Another example is when at the end of the trailer anthony anderson says "I'll be right back" then looks at brody an has the exchange, who really does that? I don't mind if the tone is the same as in the first movie but I don't need a walk through commentary in each murder ya know.

I don't see it going to those extremes like that when the characters are being chased or in imminent danger. There will be some commentary before that and maybe during the phone calls but the balance is there. Also some of it goes towards the theme of "one generations tragedy being another ones joke". Anderson pretending to be dead behind the wheel was kind of disturbing but that's the ignorant mental state of some of the characters are in. I think they have the right tone though, the trailer felt right in line with Scream and Scream 2.

This just reminded me; did we get the killer reveal for 4 in Scream 3?

Well I could see that if there were 2 killers since we see in the trailer that she gets attacked by Ghostface,

Me too. Two killers works best, and makes it a tad more believable for Ghostface to do all that he does when you know it's two people working together.

Mrs Loomis is the queen of the female killers. She'll be hard to top.

Mrs Loomis: "Mickey was a good boy, but MY GOD that whole blame the movies motive. Did you buy that for ONE second? Poor boy was completely out of his mind"

Sidney: "And you're not?"

Completely agreed. Mrs. Loomis and Stu 2.0 were pretty bad. Stu 2.0 especially was completely unnecessary.

Mickey was necessary because it wouldn't be believable that Mrs Loomis was running around offing everybody.
