doubt that he did'nt get over as a superstar by being a baby face you know

Plus he's been getting booed for what...half a decade now? At this point I doubt it bothers him. The pandering is part of his character.

It begins = either Kane or Taker, probably Kane, but I would not rule out Taker.

Cena didn't need to turn heel or do anything overly melodramatic tonight but he needed to draw SOME kind of line in the sand after last night. He needed Rocks help then Rock punked him out. And its not even the first time for that. He cost him the title at Wrestlemania!

The point of the last segment was just to break up Awesome Truth instead of Cena taking a stand of any kind. They could have done both.

I did like the mention of Johnny Ace to Bill Lumbergh.

"Lumbergh F'ed Her!"

Also reminds me of this:

So Ziggler has had damn good matches with Punk, Cena, and Orton. He also has been cutting solid promos. He has main eventer written all over him.

Can Ziggler be a main eventer with Vickie though?

He's getting better on the mic so I can think he can handle being on his own. It was great to see another Champion Vs. Champion match. Its not often they book those.

I don't see the need to drop Vickie, she is superb at what she does and is no longer cutting the promos for Dolph, so all she is, is an added and valuable part of his act, much like Sherri with Dibiase or Heenan with Perfect and Rude, they add something to the package rather than overshadow their wrestler.

So the "It Begins" promo is not Kane, so it has to be the Undertaker.

Yep, he's let it go twice now and it makes him look lame and the stupid part of the whole thing was he never needed Rock's help anyway as he'd handled them on his own prior to the MSG match.

All I can think of this is gonna be a slow build of guys calling Cena out on his passive shtick before maybe a real big gun like HBK make a guest appearance and drives home the point that Cena needs to gert some edge or he's gonna get destroyed at Mania, hell Edge would be a good one to also try to talk some sense into him.

I don't know guys; I mean really, how many times did we think that Cena was going to go back towards being either edgier or even turn heel?

They had a chance to do this with the Nexus angle; hell they could have gone this route after the Rock first called out Cena after his return earlier in the year, and they could have gone that route when CM Punk had his major turn in Chicago in winning the championship.

I hate to say this, but I just don't see the company EVER turning Cena into the badass that he once was or even to a heel.

The guy's popular with the younger demographics and he's basically the company's face when it comes to promoting their image to charity and foundations. Given on how the company is desperately trying to find ways to branch out to all kinds of media, I don't see them trying to change Cena if his current character is going well for them in other avenues.

The main thing I want is Cena to stop kissing his opponent's ass so much. Hate and animosity feuls wrestling angles. Cena has no attitude or swagger. Hogan was the ultimate superhero babyface and he was way more baddass than Cena. WWE makes Cena come like a *****.

Aside from Punk vs Ziggler Raw sounds like crap. I cringed reading the results on Cena's promo.

Also , Kanes coming back with his mask :awesome:

Indeed; hell, if Cena's career was just starting out now and he was going about his gimmick in this manner, then he would have been released and buried faster than Morrison was (or will be).

I just remembered that Jonah Hill was suppose to be the guest host tonight and that Brodus never got his debut. Was there even mention of either?

WWE Chairman Vince McMahon spent a considerable portion of today's meeting with the Raw writing staff and the producers talking about The Rock's star power and what The Rock's return has meant to WWE. According to a key source in WWE, McMahon also spent a lot of time talking about how WWE has to "promote, and promote hard" the new WWE Champion CM Punk and his relationship with the audience.

Behind the scenes, many are wondering if Punk is setting up a potential match with The Rock with his comments about Rock's attitude behind the scenes. But according to several wrestlers in the WWE locker room, Punk has not hidden the fact that he feels WWE needs to promote the full time players in the locker room, and that Rock is not respectful to the members of the locker room who are on a full time schedule.

"Punk is Punk," a Raw wrestler told us exclusively, "he's not kidding when he says that what you see is what you get. He doesn't sweat anyone."

Don't look for Dave Bautista in a WWE ring anytime soon, and definitely not for next year's WrestleMania. Bautista, aka "Batista," realizes with The Rock and John Cena in the main event for next year's WrestleMania, he is shut out of the top pay. Besides, according to several sources close to Batista, he is very happy with his gym business and acting career.

Batista is also pursuing other ways of making money in his post-WWE career, including modeling (believe it or not), and he keeps a very good relationship with TMZ, which posts stories on him enough that he remains in the mainstream media's eye.

Batista is also looking at getting deeper into the MMA business, if not as a fighter then in some sort of capacity behind the scenes with some of the fighters. Low-Ki aka "Kaval" has been training at Batista's gym in Florida, which is endorsed by UFC main eventer Nick Diaz's trainer Cesar Gracie.

Weighing in on the 2 teaser/promo's....

One is obviously Kane, the mask etc. Hopefully he'll come back masked. There's no real need for it, it'd just be cool.

The other, the 'it begins' promo, I think, is Jericho. I can't see it being The Undertaker, because 'begins' just doesn't suit him. I think everyone knows that Taker has 1 more match in him, Wrestlemania. You can't elude to something 'beginning' with A. his history and legacy, and B. the fact he most likely will not wrestle until Wrestlemania.

If I was to predict what this means for Wrestlemania, I'd go with...

John Cena Vs. The Rock
CM Punk Vs. Jericho (for the title. Jericho possibly coming back 2nd January would give him just under 4 months to start his movement against Punk, and to change the WWE his way.)
The Undertaker Vs. Kane (the streak. Maybe even a 'gimmick' match. Buried Alive, Inferno)
Triple H Vs. Kevin Nash (no holds barred, no DQs etc. A Grudge match, providing Nash is able to do it).

Could be quite exciting actually. Yes Taker Vs. Kane has been done to death, but it could be billed as THE last one, no matter what. If Kane comes back masked, on a rampage, maybe they could bill it as The Undertaker coming back, putting his streak on the line, and having to 'stop' Kane. Obviously Taker wins, retires at 20-0.

All just ideas. Though, I got a fair few Survivor Series predictions wrong....so I'm more than likely way off!

Barrett needs a new finisher
He needs a bigger move set to be a main eventer. All the mat holds grinding down stuff is boring to watch.
I knew Cena would go last rather than the champ vs champ match, this is a really important promo for Cena, it can't be just another "Gee shucks he got me, I don't mind that you all hate me, hustle loyalty respect blah blah blah."
All the 'gosh golly' stuff just makes Cena look like his got no backbone. The WWE don't need to turn Cena heel they just need to give him some edge back.

Randy Orton and Sheamus are top faces but both have some edge. Orton is a borderline psycho and Sheamus is a hot heat with a bad temper. CM Punk does some edgy stuff too.

I don't buy the kids won't like a more badass Cena either. Kids love Batman more than Superman these days. Supermans even got attitude in Grant Morrisons reboot comics. Badasses sell like crazy.

I agree with Punk and as much as I like the Rock....he comes and goes and the unwashed masses eat it up
It doesn't bother me. I don't want to see The Rock as a full time wrestler again there isn't any need as his accomplished everything he wanted to do in the business and there is nothing more embarassing than seeing guys like Hogan or Nash still hanging around thinking they can wrestle when they are long past their prime.

I'm sure the wrestlers in the locker room are annoyed by The Rock taking main event spots.

They should not blame The Rock, they should Blame Vince for dishing out big $$ to get him to come back now and then.

It is not the Rocks fault he is bigger, better built, and has about 100% more Charisma than any other wrestler currently in the WWE.

This is what it takes to make it Big in the business. If anything it should light a fire under some guys to do better.

This is why I think the WWE has become stale over the last 5+ years. No one has stepped up the that level.

Even Cena, though he comes close, his character is more marketed towards Kids, which is fine but as was seen on Sunday night he still pales in comparison with guys like the Rock when it comes to the 12 years old +

Beating the crap out of your bully now days is dangerous. They'll go get a gun and shoot you, just to save face. Like that somehow makes them better.

that or sue your for assault, the school would most likely blame the kid who was getting bullied

anyone got a link to the kane vid. i must have missed it while fast forwarding

cheers mate, that was nice. again wwe prove they are amazing at tributes and promo vids. shame the conclusions are never worth the hype.

i don't see kane coming back with the mask.
