Re: Austin Vs. Punk

I'd love to see the match, but I can understand where Austin is coming from. He's arguably the biggest Superstar in history so his return match after a 9 year span shouldn't play second fiddle.

I wish Stone Cold could've worked a match with Cena or Orton to put them over, but for whatever reason, I always got the impression that he was never interested in working with them.

If any match should main event Wrestlemania 29, its Austin Vs. Punk

Re: Undertaker's WM 28 Opponent

Angle - My top choice, but he's stuck with TNA sadly. I truly believe Angle Vs. Undertaker would've surpassed both matches with Michaels!

Rock - The perfect replacement if Cena gets hurt.

Cena - As much as I want to see Rock Vs. Cena, this should be happening in Miami instead. I don't want WM 28 to be Undertaker's last time because Cena Vs. Undertaker would be the perfect main event in The Garden for Wrestlemania 30.

Lesnar - I'd love to see it happen. Lesnar gets a nice check for his return match and Undertaker has a high profile opponent. This happening all depends on the outcome of Lesnar's UFC fight next month since its reportedly the last one on his contract.

Sting - I remember his current deal is good for a year so by the time it expires, it'll be close and I mean CLOSE to Wrestlemania so if Sting makes the challenge, it'll be basically last minute. Doubt it will happen now and its a shame Sting didn't make it to Atlanta.

Goldberg - The match wouldn't be great, but the crowd reaction would be awesome. Bill would be a credible threat to the Streak. He would get a proper last match and a good pay day from it for being added to The Undertaker's WM highlight reel.

Jericho - So much for this one. It doesn't seem like he'll come back unless he gets what he wants from WWE and that's a part time deal. This should've happened at Wrestlemania 26 anyway.

Foley - He wants one last match. What better way than to challenge the man that he gave his (Taker's) first convincing loss? I hope it happens since things for the guy formerly known as Mankind would come full circle, but it seems like Mick would rather work with The Miz. UGH!

Helmsley, Orton, and Kane - I'm sick of Taker having WM rematches so I have zero interest in these three.

Del Rio - If working with The Undertaker doesn't get ADR the heat he needs, I don't know what will.

Barrett - I wouldn't mind seeing it happen, but Wade needs to start being pushed seriously this time. I'm hoping Survivor Series was the first step.

Sheamus - He's incredibly over, a HUGE guy, and a former WWE champion so he's the best choice from the WWE generation to challenge The Streak as beating The Undertaker would be believable and cement The Celtic Warrior as a legend!

Re: Punk

Regardless if his ill will towards Rock is legit or not, I think its fair to say Punk wants a match with The Rock and I can see that happening at Wrestlemania 29 if Austin is still content on staying retired and making low budget movies.

Re: Hogan

Wow, he got screwed almost worse than everybody else he screwed during his time on top. I guess karma did collect.

Re: Warrior

I saw the deranged gym teacher videos. I guess Warrior University is back open!

Re: Rock

I think he might've grown an ego during his time away, but I don't think its as bad as insiders are making it out to be. Maivia has always been one of the most humble guys in the business. I've only heard of a few times where he played politics by not wanting to job to Billy Gunn and Booker T and unfortunately refusing to work a program with HBK.

Ted DiBiase lacks personality, charisma or a decent character so the push isn't going to do anything for him.

Vinces attemps to ban any sort of wrestling terms or even just terms like fans just makes him look stupid. People will always say the are 'wrestling fans' over ssaying they are members of the 'WWE Universe'.

Undertaker should have one more match at Wrestlemania and then retire before he causes himself some permenant injury. Its smart to know when to get out while you are still can.

One opponent I wouldn't mind seeing Taker face at WM is Dolph Ziggler, face it Ziggler basically needs one big fued to solidify him as a main eventer, and I really believe Taker is the right person for this, This could be the Kurt Angle vs Taker WM we never go to see.

WM 28 Card (some of the matches)
Cena vs Rock
CM Punk (c) vs Miz
Dolph vs Taker
Henry (c) vs Bryan

I like that, but I'd put Trips against Punk, and have Miz face someone else. WWE needs more upper midcard faces.

Oh and Happy Thanksgiving to the Wrestling Tread

Too bad that Rey might not be back in time for Wrestlemania 28 since I would have loved to have seen a Rey vs. Undertaker match. We all know who would win, but Rey would give it his all.

Hell, I'd love to see Rey vs. Cena. Too bad that won't ever happen.

CM Punk vs. Steve Austin would be 100 million times more exciting than Rock and Cena. Make it so!

Agreed that if Austin were to do another match it should be the big attraction, so it simply wasn't viable for Mania 28.

It certainly seems that Austin showed little interest in doing another match until Punk got into the spot he's in. All the "I've got one more match in me" stuff really started to gain momentum as soon as Punk got a foothold in the main event.

Re: Undertaker's WM 28 Opponent

Angle - My top choice, but he's stuck with TNA sadly. I truly believe Angle Vs. Undertaker would've surpassed both matches with Michaels!
I highly doubt it, HBK and Taker are the two best big match workers ever, plus you have the history, the fact both men were 20 year WWE veterans who's careers were synonymous with WrestleMania, and HBK was the only guy over enough that the crowd even cheered the possibility of the streak ending. Angle simply isn't the same level of star, has never been as over as either and would not have provided the built in drama that Taker and HBK's legacies provided.

Cena - As much as I want to see Rock Vs. Cena, this should be happening in Miami instead. I don't want WM 28 to be Undertaker's last time because Cena Vs. Undertaker would be the perfect main event in The Garden for Wrestlemania 30.
I actually think WrestleMania 30 in MSG is the ideal place for Punk vs Austin as the arena is suited to both guys, where as Cena in MSG is a heat magnet for the wrong reasons. Plus it would give Punk one more big Mania match to be ready for Austin.

Foley - He wants one last match. What better way than to challenge the man that he gave his (Taker's) first convincing loss? I hope it happens since things for the guy formerly known as Mankind would come full circle, but it seems like Mick would rather work with The Miz. UGH!
If Foley can go it certainly has the built in history to make it work, however I can see Mick putting over a young guy in a hardcore match as more likely.

Del Rio - If working with The Undertaker doesn't get ADR the heat he needs, I don't know what will.
His lack of heat is down to being 1 dimensional and not working the crowd during his matches.

Sheamus - He's incredibly over, a HUGE guy, and a former WWE champion so he's the best choice from the WWE generation to challenge The Streak as beating The Undertaker would be believable and cement The Celtic Warrior as a legend!
I'd prefer Ziggler or Cdy as I think they would also make it easier for Taker, but Sheamus, even in defeat, wouyld get a solid rub off being the streak challenger.

- Both Mick Foley and BG James have had to adjust their schedule with the WrestleReunion events in Los Angeles (January) and Miami (March) due to commitments with WWE.

Foley, BG James and Billy Gunn are off the Sunday Legends breakfast for the Los Angeles WrestleReunion because Foley and James have to go to St. Louis for WWE's Royal Rumble. Instead, they will be doing a Q&A session that Friday at 4pm. For the Miami WrestleReunion, James and Gunn have been moved to the Saturday VIP session instead of Sunday, since James is needed at WrestleMania 28.

No word yet on WWE's plans for Foley at the Royal Rumble and James is reportedly working as an agent.

- Regarding R-Truth's suspension, word is that he was informed he failed the Wellness test around the same time as Evan Bourne but was never told he would be suspended and didn't know he was being suspended until November 22nd, the day WWE announced it.

WWE creative also weren't told about the suspension until it happened. As noted before, Vince is turning R-Truth babyface when he returns in part because he sees great potential in Little Jimmy merchandise. Truth's turn is also being done because Vince feels RAW only has two over babyfaces, John Cena and CM Punk, and if one of them gets hurt then the depth would be worse than it is now.

He has apparently never heard of this guy:

That's so much like my family dinners it's scary.

So... in WWE '12... Todd Grisham announces John Cena as "JAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHN SEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEENAAAAAAH!"

Can't even get away from that in the games..

i hate when it tells u what is trending on twitter during a match

Thats when iI knew they'd gone way overboard. I think Vince likes the idea that he can affect what people on a mainstream social networking thing like Twitter can think. its the control freak in him. The only problem is until he can translate that into money or ratings it doesn't mean a damn thing who or what is trending.

Ironic that Vince is all over for Twitter for a guy that hates the Internet.

I agree. Any match Austin has should rightfully be the biggest match on the show and Austin vs Punk could be way more representative of a top icon of the past facing a top icon of the future than Rock vs Cena because Austin and Punk are BOTH over and will unload on each other with both barrels unlike the neutered half over John Cena.

One opponent I wouldn't mind seeing Taker face at WM is Dolph Ziggler, face it Ziggler basically needs one big fued to solidify him as a main eventer, and I really believe Taker is the right person for this, This could be the Kurt Angle vs Taker WM we never go to see.

Of all the younger midcard talent in WWE today Ziggler would make Taker look best in the ring because he can sell for him and bump around to give the match some movement. I wouldn't mind seeing it.

Can Mickie NOT be sexy?

Now she just needs to tear the shirt open Hogan style. :awesome:

CM Punk vs. Steve Austin would be 100 million times more exciting than Rock and Cena. Make it so!

Ditto. I think it would be much better for a lot of reasons. I think their styles would mesh better overall.

It certainly seems that Austin showed little interest in doing another match until Punk got into the spot he's in. All the "I've got one more match in me" stuff really started to gain momentum as soon as Punk got a foothold in the main event.

Austin has said the guy that could most likely get him back in the ring is Lesnar...and now Lesnar has been talking about how he never got to face Austin. makes me wonder if there have been any informal discussions. between Punk and Lesnar Austin seems to have gotten a little bit of the itch back. A few years ago he was saying it was highly unlikely but now he's saying if the money and the program were right he'd seriously consider it.

I highly doubt it, HBK and Taker are the two best big match workers ever, plus you have the history, the fact both men were 20 year WWE veterans who's careers were synonymous with WrestleMania, and HBK was the only guy over enough that the crowd even cheered the possibility of the streak ending. That and HBK also has a better mind for working and the story than Angle. Angles come a long way in that department though but HBK is still better. For a long time Angle was always good at the mechanical aspects but never could make that jump to the dramatic part.

I think we all smelled a rat there. WWE has a double standard on their Wellness policy...no surprise

I'm not against turning Truth face but its sad that its coming not because it would make for a good story but to sell merchandise. Merch seems to dictate EVERYTHING now more than ever.

Gail Kim Says WWE Disrespected Her

By Daniel Pena
Nov 24, 2011 - 2:06:06 PM

Speaking to SLAM! Wrestling, Gail Kim explains why she disobeyed WWE by controversially eliminating herself from the Divas Battle Royal on the August 1 episode of Monday Night Raw. She says it was the culmination of all the disrespect she felt from WWE.

"I don't regret what I did at all. It was a respect thing," Kim says. "I was told to get eliminated as soon as possible, so that's what I did. I saw my decision as a case of either continuing to take their lack of respect or doing something about it.

"Nobody knows what I went through in terms of disrespect during my time there, but that move wasn't just about me it was a culmination of all the disrespect I felt that all the other women and the women's division as a whole had received too, I was taking a stand.

"While a lot of fans watching Raw noticed what I did, nobody from WWE noticed, that just shows how much they didn't care. I went up to Johnny [John Laurinaitis] after and spoke about the Battle Royal and his reaction towards the match was, 'Yeah, I heard it was pretty ****.' I was amazed and I then told him how I eliminated myself and he just laughed.

"How can fans take the division seriously if the people working for the company aren't? If it had been one of the men who had eliminated themselves they would have been punished, but because it was the women nobody cared, not even after I had told them."

A few days later Kim announced on Twitter that she had quit WWE, however, she was not permitted to bolt. What followed was a standoff between WWE and their former Women's Champion, which saw her forced to sit out the remainder of her contract.

"WWE are notoriously known for being controlling when it comes to your career, that night of the Battle Royal I went to Johnny and told him I quit, I said I don't want your money; I just want to be free. He told me that it shouldn't be a problem, but of course it was," Kim says.

"They didn't want me to work elsewhere, at this time I told him, 'What does it matter if I leave or not? You're not using me, it's not like I'm valuable to you just let me go,' but there was no budging."

After sitting at home for over two months waiting out the remainder of her contract, Kim finally made her much anticipated return to TNA Wrestling on the October 20 episode of Impact Wrestling, when she aligning herself with Madison Rayne and Karen Jarrett. Being a TNA Knockout means everything to her.

"I'm just so excited to be back in the company, I can't speak for anybody in particular but the feeling I got when I came back was that there were no hard feelings about my previous decision to leave. Being back here feels like time has never passed.

"I think everyone kind of expected me to return. I said in my last interview when I was leaving that I would probably be back, everyone has been real welcoming, it's like being a part of a family here at TNA. It's great to see the growth that this company has made since I've been gone, it's nice to see the direction its going and where they want to be heading."

She adds, "I'm just so happy to be here and to now be a part of a company once again that actually cares about wrestling."

Former WWE Star Arrested On Battery Charge, WWE Referee Entered Rehab

By Daniel Pena
Nov 24, 2011 - 12:36:54 PM

-- Brian James (a/k/a Road Dogg), who now works as a producer for WWE, stated during a recent "shoot" interview that not only has the organization paid to put him in a rehabilitation center, but has paid for at least one stint for all three of his brothers—Scott, Steve and Brad.

Scott is WWE referee Scott Armstrong. He returned to the organization in February 2011 after being released one year prior. Steve briefly competed for WWE in 1992 as Lance Cassidy. Brad was under contract to WWE in 2006 and 2007. He made sporadic appearances on ECW as a guest commentator.

-- Former WWE talent Sean Christopher Haire (a/k/a Sean O'Haire), 40, was arrested Wednesday afternoon in Savannah, Georgia on a simple battery charge, according to the official website of the Chatham County Sheriff's Office. Bond was set at $1,850.00.

This is not the former WCW World Tag Team Champion's first run-in with the law. In 1992, Haire was arrested for assault. In 2006, Haire was found guilty of assaulting a woman at "Club Hypnotic" in June 2004. He was also involved in a fight in Hilton Head on March 30, 2007, in which he sustained fractures to his face and skull, including his orbital bone. In September 2009, Haire was arrested for allegedly choking his girlfriend.

Nothing CM Punk said surprised especially the Vince stuff. I wonder why so many wrestlers end up with drugs and alcohol problems?

Because sane people don't do half the things these guys do to themselves. It causes a lot of damage to their bodies, and a lot of pain.

Also, they tend not to be the stablest of personalities.
