Scrubs Season 7

Wow, what a poor episode.

I usually applaud NBC for sitcom finales (Frasier Finale was a great ending, as was the Will and Grace Finale, Friends was okay), but this one sucked.

That's because this wasn't supposed to be the finale episode.

A- It's half of the season because of the writers strike, so there was still half a season left.
B- This episode should have aired a few weeks ago, it's way out of order.

Plus this isn't the end of the series. The real finale along with the rest of the season will air on ABC.

I didn't see the latest episode but will catch it online tomorrow.

It won't be the end of the series, but for the last one on NBC, it was poor.

That episode sucked don't watch it k18

That is the worst finale ever. I know it's not actually the finale, but damn that blew.

I was wondering why Kelso was there as chief. Why did they air this, of all episodes, as the finale? Last week's was hilarious and classic Scrubs and very finale worthy (from what we got this season, at least).

anyone else notice the "ABC Studios" screen at the end?

Nah, it used to be touchstone.

Because it was the most expensive episode of scrubs made, and they figured it would be going out with a bang. personally I thought the week before this one was way better.

Also Braff directed.

NBC has pretty much hated Scrubs for the past two seasons for some reason, and that always pissed me off. If you noticed, they never air any commercials for Scrubs. The commercials will be something like..."Tonight on a new "Early (insert footage and description of "Earl" episode), and after Scrubs, a new "Office" and "30 Rock"!!! (insert footage for the latter two shows).

They've pretty much put Scrubs on the backburner for a while, trying to push it off the air. They haven't even given it a shot to be successful in recent years, which is very sad. That's why I'm glad that ABC has picked it up for the 8th season. Maybe they'll pay some attention to the show and give people who aren't die-hard fans a chance to get into a great show.

And yes, last night's episode was lame as hell, but I can't wait for the next season.

NBC has never really believed in Scrubs. Probably cause it isn't their show. It has always been an ABC produced show.

so I saw that episode online and it was LAME. Not funny and it was really out of order. I mean, it had keith in the episode! That was from a while ago.

Wow, tough reactions. I actually thought it was pretty funny.

If this was aired where it should have been aired, then people would have liked it more. The fact that this was the "finale" and aired out of order made some people too pissed to enjoy it.

That makes sense. I guess I got to enjoy it more since the whole channel-switching thing doesn't really affect me since I'm not in the U.S.

It was okay. It was nothing special and reminded me of the middle of the seventh season, which was very bland and disappointing. Still seeing their depictions in fairyland was kind of fun. The previous two weeks episodes were really good though and should have been a one hour finale (Kelso leaving, Cox taking over and the heavy foreshadowing of a JD/Elliot relationship).

I'm glad it gets a full 8th season now on ABC and can explore the job corrupting Cox more. The fact is NBC has treated this show like **** for the last 2-3 years and not renewing it for the last 6 episodes is an insult. As is they always going "Tonight on My name is Earl...and after a new Scrubs funny stuff like this happens on The Office...and on 30 Rock this happens..."

Scrubs always got the short end of the stick and even the comedy "ine-up" images has Jason Lee, Steve Carrell and Tina Fey front and center with Zack Braff standing way behind them. Meh. Tina Fey isn't funny nor is 30 Rock and My Name is Earl has sucked since the first season. All they have now is The Office. I hope whatever they replace Scrubs with in that time slot bombs. :o

The funny thing is that they don't even have anything to replace it with. What's their other hit comedy? And ER is ending next year. With ER gone I'd say that the 2009-2010 tv season will feature the worst Thursday NBC line-up since like 1981.

It'll probably be replaced by the spin off of The Office.

On a side note: The nurse who looks just like Laverne was on Thursday's episode. They really either need to address that when it is on ABC or drop the story line all together. I know originally JD was supposed to be the only one who thought she looked like Nurse Roberts (and that was going to be a running joke throughout the season) but they seem to have lost that story line in the strike, so they really either need to run with it right away in the premiere or just get rid of the actress all together, because with no explanation, and no breaking of the fourth wall joke like JD being the only one to see the resemblence, it just feels cheap.
