OUTRAGEOUS!
Well ahoy, well ahoy, weell ahoy my friends! Hope you enjoyed this episode as much as did, because it opened with Aquaman singing! Aquaman starring in the Currys of Atlantis family sitcom show! <3 Yes thats right, Aquaman, Arthur Curry and Mera are your everyday ordinery Atlantean family with your Black Manta neughbour and his octopus garden! Let's not forget the all Atlantean pet Fluke the Dolphin! Oh and tuesday nights always guest star BATMAN as tuesday means it's crime fightning night. This is the most outrageously awesome 3 minutes of an introduction to any episode!
The main episode focuses on Ray Palmer, Ryan Choi, Batman and Aquaman. Ray Palmer is the Silver Age Atom whom we never saw and thats because he retired back before the show began, and now with Atom's old enemy back Batman needs his help, but Ryan Choi has also retired being a crime fighter because he loves math and science, so yeah it's up to Batman to find "the original" Atom more or less, but Batman goes missing oh noes! So Aquaman gets Ryan Choi to help him find and rescue Batman!
The episode as it's title implies is a tribute to a short mini series where Atom lived in the south american jungles as was more like "Conan the barbarian who fights bugs" and lives with this tiny race called the Morlaidhans, but Ray Palmer is about to marry the princess (tho she seems to be the queen now, i guess she's not the queen till marriage, weird logic) and yeah theres this conversative Morlaidhan who despises outsiders, so theres the villain.
The action scenes in this episode are incredibly good because all the characters rely on good team play so you got Batman, Atoms and Aquaman all shining and being awesome, the dialogue is on top of it's game with references to Tiny Titans, "Doctor Ray Palmer i presume?" is said which is tribtue to that lost doctor and yeah this is more or less also a "sequel" to the season 1 episode where Aquaman and Ryan Choi save Batman from a virus.
It has a great ending and overall this was a really funny episode that also pulls off it's seriousness very well and show's how science can be used for heroics, this is another 10/10 episode from me.
