I think that the take off is so bland because maybe we are going to see a bigger special effect later in that episode. If this is in the first ep we still have a huge fight between clark and bizzaro.

Yeah Cmill mentioned it to me i was just hoping for a glimpse, i am only 7 eps into season 6 (ep 8 tonight) and so far he is really owning the season for me.

Well, I'm glad you're enjoying GA. He was the highlight of S6. Considering the show is *supposed* to be about Clark Kent, that says a lot.

No, we have gotten it really late this year.

So far ive felt Clark seems to be treading water and i loathe the Lex/Lana relationship, Hartley as both Ollie in his relationship with Lois and as GA has been outstanding, the "hit the can for a kiss" fun/romantic scene is better than any in any superhero movie so far IMO

that scene was uber cool. I showed it to my family and they all loved it. My brother only saw the GA episodes and talked about that scene.
there's a cool scene with Lois and Clark coming up too.

I wondered what Peter Pan was doing in a Smallville trailer. Till I noticed it was Kara. Well hard to tell the difference cause the flying looks identical.

He has his moments - Labyrinth was all Clark - but for the most part, he's marginalized in S6.

Oh dear. What episode are you on again? You've got quite a way to go, Hunter. With a few exceptions, it's pretty much the emphasis of the entire season, unfortunately.

That scene was VERY well done.

I also liked GA's first confrontation with Clark in the museum. Classic stuff.

but she can't win- they do it like this which seems cost effective and people say its lame. They do a big special effect and people would complain her flying is eating up the budget. Its fine by me. It seems similar to the 80's movie which is fine as long as the 'in the air' shots have better effects

For those of you who don't regularly visit the Erica Durance thread, Kal-El8 posted an interview with her that I thought was very interesting. She has alot to say about what to expect this season. (Really seems "more in the know" than ever before) and at the end she makes a remark I found to be possibly very telling concerning Clark becoming Superman. Maybe I'm reading too much into it. What do you guys think?

Kara's looks far more natural & it suits her best, that is exactly how you would take off if it was real.

It was the primary focus of the season for Lana, and to a lesser degree, Lex (he also had his ties with Ollie and the sekrit army thing), but I disagree that it was the emphasis for the entire season. It drew enough negative attention to make it feel that way though.

Exactly. I really dislike the stupid bullet time and air ripples being used for every effect on the show. This is Superman, not the Matrix, geez. Leave it to WB to stuff every fad into their shows that they can.
