I would actually love to see that happen. I rather enjoyed Bloodline, and didn't feel like it over-served on the Kara (unlike the stretch of season 7 did). It'd be awesome to revisit the concepts introduced into the show in Legion, as well as give Kara further closure on the show. Plus, I think it'd just be darn neat.

I agree, I hope that special surprise that was hinted at for the finale (which would've originally taken place around eps 20 & 21, right?) is flight.

I started watching Smallville to see Clark Kent become Superman, NOT the advehterurs of Supergirl.

She was in it for one out of now nine seasons and didn't even appear in every episode. In fact she didn't appear after veritas other than the phantom zone square before she guested in Bloodline. She was also absent in the middle of the season because of the memory plot.

I hope season 9 brings in Mon-El and really puts Clark to shame. Clark isn't the be all and end all in the grand scheme of things, Smallville should show that. It would be like Impulse out doing Clark on a show about the Flash. Its inaccurate. Maybe Green Lantern could totally own Clark by simulating Kryptonite? Or J'onn J'onzz could be controlled by evil and beat clark down? Or Captain Marvel could give him a fight?

Now I'm imagining various characters beating Superman...I'm in a happy place t:

Great to have the good news that smallville and also supernatural have been picked up for 9th and 5th seasons. Cant wait to see what they have in store for the next year and hope it will be as good as this season(pre lana and hopefully post lana episodes).

I'm more excited Supernatural is coming back, but this is good news too. I just hope that around the middle of the next season we don't start hearing the "Well, we'd like to do another season if we could...." crap.

I honestly don't know why they can't. Personally I think a one shot by either won't hurt any potential movie either are in, infact I see them appearing on the show as decent promotion for any future projects for those characters are in.

That being said, Hollywood doesn't work like that so neither will see the light of day on the show.

I don't know I kind of liked Supergirl, it was nice to finally see someone embracing their powers, working to learn how to use all of them. Also like when Green Arrow shows up since it's nice to see someone actually being a superhero. Since we all know that Clark can't be a superhero on this show.

yea it would be nice if the restriction on bruce and diana was lifting but i dont expect that happening at all. WW still stuck in developmental hell and it would be a great way to get people talking about the character but wb is fools. As for bats/bruce they pretty much dont want any other live action batman getting into the way of nolan's batman and think us general audiences are idiots and cant see they are two different takes. What i would think right now for 9th season they should do a green lantern really so they can help promote the upcoming film and then maybe like during the second half of the season they air a special trailer/footage like what they did for BB and even SR.

I dunno if your being serious or not but if you don't like SUperman at all then pls feel free to leave. If you wanna bring up fair points then fine but what you just said was jibberish & completley innacuate. In his own show, yes Superman/Clark should be the be all end all of thing's. Get used to it or don't watch.

Indeed, but for some strange reason, this little detail is often missed.

SV is not The Justice League. It is however a preferred outlet - apparently - for PS3 to get their rocks off (can I say that?) and intro every character they can from DC's very extensive toybox to SV fans, whether we give a squat about them or not. It's getting old.

I seem to remember when the show started it was only supposed to be 4 seasons and basically chronicle his high school years. It's quite telling of the fanbase, storytelling and other elements that the show has lasted this long. Certainly they have called each of the last few seasons "the last" one. My hope is that season 9 will be break from the rules of the past. By that I mostly mean ditching the "no flights, no tights" nonsense. Sure it makes sense if you are going to tell the story of Clark Kent, but at this point they need to introduce Superman. This show has a potential for going 10 more seasons, at this point. They need to get Superman in there and change things up a bit. They probably wanted to end the series with him flying off in the costume, but they've milked it along so much that he'll be in his 40s when they finally do it.
