Secret Avengers - Part 1

Pretty much. It's a pretty cheap move by any means. I'm more of a movie fan, I admit that, but I want to see them together in the movies, I'm not concerned if they hook up in the comics. I'd prefer the two verses retain some separation because I'm tired of stupid 'ship wars (among other reasons), not that having different 'ships in different verses will ever stop that. There is no solution that will make everyone happy.

Though I'm not gonna lie, I will read this to see what happens.

I read the comics for many years and collected literally thousands of issues before pretty much giving up on them. Occasionally I read current stuff, but mostly around the fringes of the 616 universe. The movies are where I get my enjoyment now because they are so much better than the crap Marvel puts out on a monthly basis. Although I love it when the older 616 material makes its way into the MCU, I would prefer that the newer stuff stay right in the comics where it belongs.

The "ship wars" stuff is pure stupidity. Just ignore it if you can. People who get that hung up on the 'lives' of fictional characters have problems, anyway.

I want to put this on Tumblr:oldrazz:.

I only had a stint of a handful of years that I collected comics but I too gave them up because I could only take so much and I was tired of the constant character assassinations. So I'm totally with you on the MCU, it's definitely where I get my enjoyment now and I hope they leave a lot of the baggage out of the MCU.

I miss the days of fansites when I could find a site and message board specifically dedicated to my preferred characters and 'ships. Tumblr seems to have taken over, and there it only takes one ******* tagging their hate to piss off tonnes of people. Bashing a 'ship is one thing, but they seem to love bashing the people that ship it, and that's harder to ignore. I don't appreciate being insulted for what I like, especially when my so-called 'fanship' is just as canon as anyone else's if people are willing to look back far enough.

All fanwars are stupid. Like what you like and let others do the same. What's the point in arguing and fighting about it like children? It's not going to change what Marvel chooses to do and it'll only create unnecessary animosity between fans.

In the end I'm going to check out this book and hope it's handled well and that people won't jump all over it because of a few previews.

Remender took this title from average to fantastic in record time. When he goes, I'm done with the book. I don't see how the new writer can possibly compete with what will most assuredly be a classic Avengers run. Additionally, the new team line-up leaves quite a bit to be desired.

TL/DR; Secret Avengers should cease with Remender's departure.

Does anyone know what happened to Pym. Remender concluded the title without showing if the cybernetics implanted in Hank were reversable or if he died fighting the giant Sentinel...

I was thinking the same thing.
