Far From Home Sequel Villains? (Homecoming Spoilers)

Here's my idea for eventual appearance of this guy (finally (relatively) finished after a loooong time):

One more flying menace terrorizes the city of New York. Mad Jack, Jack O'Lantern are some terms people usually use to describe him. Some of his targets are rich and influential people like investor Jason Philip Macendale Jr., head of Berhard Bank International, Daniel Berkhart and diplomat Ned Leeds Sr., among others. Police seems unable to find the identity of the villain. Supernatural apparition akin to Ghost Rider? A demon? Many citizens do believe this (unsurprisingly, considering everything that happened in recent years) as there are reports that he was seen at multiple places at once and that he seems to be able to vanish into thin air. Police dismisses this, however, as "hear say". Or are his powers the result of clever use of technology? According to the assumption of J. Jonah Jameson of Daily Bugle, "just some trendy idiots that entered that stupid ("Goblin") club or cult or whatever you wanna call it and now they act as bullies! This must be stopped! Where is the *** police when you need them". Or is "his" story something much, much simpler...

Sorry if this is the wrong thread to post this, as there is no FanArt thread for sequels. Move if necessary. :woot:

I am all aboard the Scorpion train.

You know...while we know that Gargan isn't a PI in the MCU, do you think his Scorpion origin in the movies will be similar to comics? I mean JJJ financing his creation was a pretty big deal...and when was the last time we've seen Jolly Jonah in adaptive media? I don't think he had a major role in the Ultimate Spider-Man cartoon.

A couple of weeks after Homecoming came out, Mando posted a picture on his Instagram of a camera test they did for the movie and in it he was wearing a police badge. Now this is just a screen test so it may not 100% representative of whats going to be in the movie, but its possible they may make it so that MCU is version is an undercover cop. If so, I think that would be kind of interesting.

But as for your question, I would hope they still involve JJJ in Scorpion's origin.

Villains I'm hoping to see in the sequel/sequels.

Mysterio.
Scorpion.
Kraven The Hunter.
Hydro Man.

I wouldn't put much hope on Mysterio and Kraven due to the "spin-offs".

I doubt they will turn JJJ, whose an iconic supporting character, into a flat out villain. Which is exactly what "Creates the Scorpion" would entail. The average viewer is not going to accept him as "not a bad guy" after doing something like that.

It really wouldn't be hard to change roles for this story to follow through.

Replace JJJ with a crime lord who wants to replicate Spiderman's powers/rid the world of Spiderman - Gargan volunteers as he wants power and a chance to get even with SM.

Sounds cartoonish I know but it's not a hard fix.

Personally I'd love them to try and include a few crime-lords in the SM/MCU universe, they don't even need Kingpin, they can use Silvermane/Tombstone/Owl

I'd love for them to introduce Silvermane played by Terence Stamp

But would Spidey bow down before him?

Finally (almost) finished this guy, after years of languishing in "work in progress" folder.. :D

Herman Schultz had a bad life. Although he is a talented mechanic and has a knack for engineering, he was never able to accomplish anything thanks to his dysfunctional childhood. If only he had better family he might have been one of best engineers in the business. Or, maybe, if he just made different decisions.... All of his gear is made from scratch, using spare parts of various machinery he was able to acquire in various ways. Growing as a member of various gangs, he learned that if you want to survive you must be cruel and blunt. He wanted to be more than just a gangbanger, so he allied himself with various villains trying to get to the top. He was never been taken seriously by any of his allies and he was always relegated to just a thug role. Being screwed over by his "friends" and the lack of funding for construction of better equipment led him to jail many times. He could have been working for Stark Industries, just like Parker, but, now, he is stuck in the endless cycle of chasing his big score that will put him on a map as a real supervillain...

If this is a wrong tread, admins, please move this post. :)

Not sure if he'll ever show up in the MCU. At the very least it'll be a long time until they get to him due to ASM2.

Which is unfortunate since he's one of my favorite Spidey villains and ASM2 really botched him.

Liked the look/design they went with though

I'll say this. Jamie Foxx wasn't bad as Electro, but the material he was given was crap and let's not talk about the stereotypical nerd look they gave him pre-transformation.

I'd like to see him on the big screen again too and done right. Same with the Lizard (looking less like the SMB movie Goomba mated with Voldemort) and Rhino.

I feel like a lot of Spider-Man's villains and especially ones in the MCU will be tech based so it'd be nice to see Electro and Lizard again but that'll probably be a while. At least Mysterio, Kraven, etc might not be tech based.

There's our villain.

It's looking likely but I don't think he'll be the main baddie. I do like the idea of the Smythe's + the Spider Slayers with Scorpion. Sorta like Winter Soldier with Alistair playing the role of Redford and Gargan like a Bucky type as the muscle.

Expanding on my groundbreaking (kidding) idea of a roster of B-list villains working for a mastermind but faced one on one by Spidey: what if each one was utterly superior to Peter in one singular aspect?
For example: Rhino is stronger, Speed Demon faster (d'oh), Shocker more clever, Scorpion more agile, Sandman more endurable and so on...
It would work to showcase Spidey's ingenuity and resilence.

One thing I think would be cool is if one of Peter's teachers is teaching about something that correlates to the plot.

Like a back and forth montage of him learning about scorpions while fighting Scorpion

If Electro is on the cards I could see them going with Spectacular Spider-Man's design to differentiate from Jamie Foxx's Ultimate version.
Plain 616 would look ridiculous on the big screen, sadly.

Yeah, I love the SSM Electro design.

It's what I would do if I was in Marvel's shoes and they wanted to do Electro.
