Can we talk about how perfect Faith Herman was as Darla? That girl is so adorably adorable and her comedic timing was pitch perfect. Shes going to be the breakout star of this.

When I first heard Mr Mind’s voice in the first credit scene, I thought it was The Brain since it sounded just like his voice from the Teen Titans series.

Yes, a small one. Just before Shazam (the wizard) gives Billy his powers, he gives a short expo dump with visuals ( think tiny glowing rpg minis made from pixie dust) in which he talks about a previous champion who was given the power but betrayed the council of wizards and freed the Seven Deadly Sins. Clearly, at least to me, that was BA.

On the discussion about superhero merchandising within a superhero universe, I don't think its a big deal and not a problem at all because its been done before. It was debated briefly in the "I Am The Night" episode of BTAS when Batman laments the fact he's merchandised to death, on t-shirts and action figures, despite his intent; to even in Kingdom Come with the Planet Krypton restaurants, showing one way the classic heroes have become in the eyes of many. If anything, and I can see it with films like Superman doing it, if they want to talk about it, they should not dismiss it but offer perspective in a thematic sense.

Plus, it even has a real world connection: anything, and I do mean anything, gets merchandised. From pop culture to politics. And made very fast sometimes. Hell, there is even a Trump children's book (made for laughs, its not serious) that was made during the 2016 election. So alot of superhero toys and such two years after JL makes sense.

PS I would like see Planet Krypton in the enxt Superman movie. Just saying.

You know, considering on how Cavill is no longer playing Superman, I'm actually surprised they still chose to feature a cameo for the character at the end of the film.

I was pretty confident that they would have had Gal's Wonder Woman or Jason's Aquaman make a cameo in this film if they needed an actual JL hero to appear at the end of the movie.

Theater was packed and it was by far the most amount of kids/families I’ve seen for a DCEU movie, even more than Aquaman and Wonder Woman.

It’s gonna hit big with that demographic.

Wow......then its gonna have insane "animated movies" leg (which tend to do > 3.5 multiplier)

Enjoyed it. Few minor gripes, but in general it's a great watch.

It got me thinking about Black Adam and how they'll handle him after the way the Wizard set up his origin. I'm guessing a prequel would make the most sense, and we can see how he becomes corrupted and turns on mankind.

Very eager to see how the Rock interacts with Zachary Levi.

Funnily enough as much as I would have loved to see Cavill, I think it worked even better with the neck down shot and cut to credits.

Sivana is kicking Shazam’s ass at the fairground while the seven sins are terrorizing the family. Sivana wants Shazam to transfer his power to him by using the wizard’s staff. That’s when Shazam realizes he can transfer it to the family based on what the wizard said earlier.

So he manages to get a hold of the staff away from Sivana. He runs to the family and tells them to all grab it and say his name. The all yell out “Billy!” at first (really funny scene) and Shazam then says “No say the name I use to transform” which leads to the most awesome scene of the movie where you see the grown-up versions.

He’s never called Shazam by the public but I think it’s clear that is the name he goes by now

In the movie Freddy clearly idolizes Superman the most. Wonder Woman isn’t even mentioned, and Aquaman’s logo is featured on a t-shirt and that’s it.
