i think you completely miss my point.

it's just like you don't have a 11 year old kid turn into Zach Ephron; you want him to turn into He-Man. He needs turn into a God; into the ideal man.

It would be the most bizzare thing to see a kid turn into Taylor Lautner. It's nothing against Taylor, but you need to see a HUGE CONTRAST in change. Taylor does not fit it at all.

Think about this: It's like doing a remake of Tom Hanks' Big. Instead of a 12 year old kid aging to Tom Hanks, he turns into a teenager instead. it doesn't sound that interesting at all, right? there you go.

totally captain marvel shouldnt be played by some 18-23 yr old actor. it should be someone in their early/mid 30s. So we have the big difference from the character billy is as a kid, to when he is the man hero he becomes as captain marvel. Guys like taylor/ephron would be more suited probably for captain marvel jr or what ever that character is called if they would include the other marvels down the road after first film.

Hey ur right, but u never know.

I'm happy you said that webs.

The Roc as Captain Marvel
Taylor as junior Marvel / Freddy :awesome:

Anyhoo, by the time this film get made Taylor will be in his forties.

yea who knows when if shazam will roll out. Though if things are really shaping up for the DC films for 2012 and beyond maybe he will be an option within the next 3-5 yrs. But hey for all we know maybe it will be shazam and flash up next. Since both have had most development going on them. Compared to poor ww not going anywhere presently.

So does anyone here have any good pics of CM from the old 70s live action Saturday morning show?

:yay:

i would try a google search you might come across some photos. or at least maybe a fan site.

Yeah, I've been doing that for awhile. I was just wondering if anyone had some pics on their computer. Something that wouldn't show up on a pic search.

:yay:

Found this online while looking for Captain Marvel movie stuff:
shazamtheartofoneness.jpg

 Dwayne Johnson has already been chosen by director Peter Segal as Black Adam and Dwayne's said this year that "The truth that I can tell you is that I would love to play Black Adam. Black Adam resonated with me, especially once I started to understand the story of Black Adam and how he related within his story." And he said director Peter Segal "is still very passionate about the project.” http://splashpage.mtv.com/2010/01/12/dwayne-the-rock-johnson-on-shazam-status-and-black-adam/
And they really should cast Brandon Molale as Captain Marvel. He said "I want to play Captain Marvel. I feel that if there’s ever any Marvel or DC comic book hero that I look like… I look like this guy and who wouldn’t want to play Captain Marvel?" http://movies.about.com/od/interviewswithactors/a/molale080607.htm They should go with a relatively unknown actor as Billy Batson. It needs to be a likable skinny nerdy kid, who can act.

I'd like to see Sivana also be in the film with Ben Kingsley cast and be the mastermind villain, Sivana's truly Captain Marvel's arch-villain. Hopefully the new script by Bill Birch is finished and the Warner Brothers bosses like this new script so this project can finally get off the ground and get made. It's frustrating that they are still in the script process. Hopefully the script has a good balance between having an amount of seriousness and suspense with the lightheartedness of the Billy Batson/Captain Marvel character intact without becoming too dark, dramatic and grim (The Dark Knight with superpowers) or too light, comedic and silly (Big with superpowers). This should be a kid-friendly movie and Billy Batson is a boy who becomes a superhero, and there is an element of Big in that, but Captain Marvel shouldn't act and talk like a little boy in a man's body like Josh Baskin (Tom Hanks) in Big. Captain Marvel has the wisdom of Solomon. They should explore Billy experiencing being inside the body of a superhero and learning his powers internally with Billy's voice in voice overs. Dwayne Johnson said "I'm sure the movie eventually will get made the way that we all collectively want to make the movie, so when that happens, that's going to be bad-ass." http://splashpage.mtv.com/2009/03/1...el-movie-i-think-were-starting-from-page-one/

I think Brandon Molale fits the role well but throwing out another name

Sage Brocklebank

He's 6'5 and a recurring character on Psych. He hasn't been given a whole lot to do but based of his look Im just throwing his name out there

What about Tahmoh Penikett as Captain Marvel? With Dwayne Johnson as Black Adam.

agreed

and The Rock as Black Adam would be beautiful casting

lets hope this gets made

yea molale would be good pick for marvel, and yea the rock is still a solid pick for black adam. Hopefully if the film can get off the ground in next 1-3 yrs maybe he will still want to do the film.

Not too long ago, companies were thinking about picking up Captain Marvel for his own film. Any ideas on cast, plot, etc. Maybe if there are enough hits and ideas on this page, someone somewhere will see it and maybe reconsider not making it. It's worth a shot for such a great and illustrious hero.

Tom Jane-Captain Marvel (Marvel Comics did him wrong in not deciding to continue with the Punisher series and rebooting it into something horrible. In thier mistake, DC could easily pick him up and give him the hero he deserves to be)
