i'm weary of Peter Segal as the director though. He's a hit and miss, though I did enjoy Get Smart.
 
well we have no clue if it gets into production stage this time if segal will still be invovled.

On second thought, Bill Birch sound like he knows, what the hell he's doing.
I have a good feeling about his script, dude gets Captain Marvel.
Can't go wrong with a guy who actually watched the Shazam/Isis Power Hour as a kid.
 
From what I understand, there is no longer a Captain Marvel in the comics. I think I remember reading that the wizard Shazam stripped the powers from both Billy and Mary and was going to go after Freddy next. Someone please correct me if I am wrong. If this unfortunate turn of events is true, will this have any effect on the (possible) upcoming movie?
 
At the moment, but they'll get around to it once this whole Blackest Night business is done with. And as for the second question, of course not.

Wanna know what? I was thinking that Zacary Levi with a muscle suit could be a fun Captain Marvel.
 
well he does seem to like comic books/comic movies, since he was going to be in the thor film. I do liek him as an actor and he could probably do well in a few different superhero roles.

An idea I had, why not have lots of Elvis Songs for the soundtrack?
 
I think that Chris Columbus would be a good choice to direct Shazam - Capt. Marvel movie, and taking any Harry Potter director would be fine as long as script is good.
 
Since Superman is on hold I say cast Brandon Routh as Capt. Marvel.

Columbus was never particularly good with large scale action though, so I'd have to say no to Columbus directing SHAZAM.
 
I would love to have James Cameron direct a 3D IMAX Adventures of SHAZAM! "You'll Believe that You Can Fly."

 
cameron would be a solid director, but its not likely we will see him on any hero project any time soon. Plus its been stated if he had the chance to do any he wants spider-man.

With Max Records for Billy Batson, and Armie Hammer or Jake Gyllenhal for Captain Marvel.
 
When I saw the first trailer for Percy Jackson, my first thought was "Could this possibly be SHAZAM?"
 
I have a question about Shazam. I havent his comics and I'm wondering does he speak very stoic like in Public Enemies or is he a kid stuck in a grown man's body
 
I just finished reading 'Justice' and I would say he is stoic.

I think he has been done both ways since the kid stuck in the grown man's body was how he was presented on JLU. Frankly, I prefer that way.
