Yep. I thought it would be the same, but they added alot- they took away some scenes as well.
For example, the football try-outs FLASHBACK is not there (may just be the difference between script and book though), but the joke is still in there. Sam and Miles' friendship also is more complex than it was in the script. So, if you loved the Sam side of the story- you will definitely love the add-ons to this portion. The police interrogation is unsettling, yet hilarious at the same time. Reminded me of when I was in a situation like that with my Dad in the room.
The techies are essentially who they are in the original script. Nothing has changed, really.
Keller, I believe, has a couple of alternate/new scenes as well.
Epps is introduced earlier as a bigger part of the actual team than he was in the original screenplay as well, which is better because he is one of the key soldiers. These scenes somewhat remain the change, but are also very similar to the original script.
They also alternated the Transformer dialouges, they're the same- but the pattern of the way they speak is somewhat different.
Point is, if you liked the script- as long as everything translates- you'll like the film. Because they really improved and added to the whole human angle of it, rather than take anything away.
And from reviews and time of the film...
I think the only scene that has a chance of not being there is the ice scene, which storywise- isn't that big of a problem. We never see the Ice Man being taken to Sector Seven or Sector Seven agents or anything... just Archibal besides Megatron and his glasses. All of this information is provided later on in the film in various parts. Thus, it doesn't hurt the story at all. It would be cool to have for that amazing visual "money shot" though.
