Well, usually when people describe others as "Asian" its not southwestern Asia they are talking about. So I doubt the shooter is of Arab descent.

I am a junior at Averett University located in Danville, Virginia, which is about a two hour drive to Virginia Tech in Blacksburg. All of my high school friends went to VT, and I am happy to report that all of them are ok. On an interesting note, one of my friends actually lived in the dorm where the 7:15 AM shootings took place. My thoughts and prayers go out to the victim's families.
