Should a ninja gaiden movie be made

With all these video game based films that most of the time fall on their ass I think that why not make a ninja gaiden film but one that its actually good. There's different stories from the different games but i think both emotionally and visualy could be stunning and even a great movie not just a good popcorn flick.

I've always though of a movie like this with an almost superhuman ninja running from rooftop to rooftop but with an actual plot, good characterization and a lot of heart behind it. yes it may sound hard to do this into a good movie but it can be done. If there's the right director and script i think it could be amazing. Any ideas? what do you guys think

I think Assassin's Creed would be much easier and better property to make a movie of.

There already is..Ninja Assassin, as mentioned before. You'd have to make the main character asian, and find a bankable star....that Rain dude might start to be pretty big over here the way Hollywood is treating his ass.

...lets leave it as a game franchise...not all games need movies to prove how badass they are.

Meh Tecmo is going under at this point they'd license that property even to Uwe Boll. Also like somebody else mentioned the downfall of the 3D NG games is that the storyline is very weak the gameplay is what makes those games and that can't be translated to film.

i agree the stories in the ninja gaiden games are pretty, well... video-gamey, in a bad way. yeah, let's face it, they suck.

but still, it could make a cool action film. or at least a nice anime.
