Should Akiva Goldsman produce the Doom Patrol movie?

Akiva Goldsman is the guy who wrote the screenplay for Batman Forever and Batman & Robin! Plus he has wrote screenplays for A Beautiful Mind and The Da Vinci Code. Should he be allowed to produce the Doom Patrol movie?

To be fair to him, he has won an Oscar and a Golden Globe for Best Screenplay (Beautiful Mind), and Writer's Guild of America award for BM and The Cinderella Man.
