Doing something out of character and change are two different things. Cap getting a new costume is change, Cap shooting up steroids is out of character. Iron Man painting his armor black is change, Iron Man banging guys is out of character. Spider-Man un-masking is change, Spider-Man talking **** to Cap while fighting him is out of character. Are you getting this? please understand.

He took an experimental serum because he was unable to serve his country any other way. That's hardly the same as shooting steroids just for the sake of getting stronger for no reason. Captain America's been getting the job done better than many super-powered heroes without super-strength for decades. Why would he suddenly decide he needs to be super-strong now?

What youre suggesting is he get "juiced" to become a Superman level character. Plain and simple, thats stupid. Captain America is supposed to represent the peak of human power. Peak strength, speed, endurance, agility. Essentially, become Hitler's wet dream. Giving him strength on par with Hercules and Superman ruins the essence of the character. He can kick people with pwers ass because hes also a master tatcitcian and will figure out about 5 different ways to annihilate you. So really CBK, it just further proves that your problem isnt with the way Captain America is protrayed, but the character itself. You keep syaing "I love Captain America, hes my favorite", if thats really so you seem pretty discontent with the way the character has been for 66 years.

Yes you do. You have 500 issues to see what his reasoning and thoughts are. His history is right in front of you. That's why you know something is out of character. I've been reading Cap as long as I've been reading comics. Except for that little patch before Heroes Reborn when Cap started wearing that ridiculous armor. In retrospect, people today would've probably called him "Iron Cap" at that point.

I dont think anyone really likes that Bucky is back, but its been done pretty well so far, and the comic is to good that I really dont pay attention to it much.

I dont think Stan Lee ever wrote such a tense situation as that one. Again, Spider-Man quips, I get that but he also can be serious. It was a time to be serious, all Millar gained from that scene was make Spidey look like an ass.

Stan wrote plenty of tense spiderman stuff.
He had spidey quipping in the master planner arc when may was on her death bed and spidey was as angry as he gets but he still quipped.
He was quipping a few seconds after the osborn unmasked him, very tense moment that.
