That thing is hideous.
Not possible for a Gibson Les Paul shape to be hideous.
It's one of the most perfect designs in human history.
It could be pink, gray and yellow with an orange and lavender fretboard and it still couldn't manage to be hideous.

The shape's fine. The color is not.

Get the Les Paul copy . . . but for Christ's sake, choose a better colour.

The guitar, no matter how good looking it is... is only a prudent investment, if:

You can actually play.

I still need to pick up one of these:

The J Mascis Signature Edition Jazzmaster. Beauty. Perfection. Rock.

I love how he's torn between loyalty to his wife and a musical instrument. This better be one hell of a guitar.

It isn't really. I owned an Epiphone Les Paul for a while. They are affordable alternatives to a real Gibson, and normally only manage to imitate the look of the guitar while the real beauty of a Gibson is lost: the sound.

True, as I was sliding through the hues, it turned my tiger brown for a second and I recoiled in terror, like seeing someone step on a baby's head. :(
