Ok, so i was at the store in our town and i saw 6 maybe 7 of these guys on the shelf. Right away i was gonna buy them and keep them till Christmas for a tidy profit but then my concience told me to just leave them for the kids...

3 hours later my mind is telling me to go back over there and buy them up...

What should i do?

they are currently about 40 bucks each at the store if you can find them but they are being sold from 75-150 bucks at amazon and ebay.

It would kill you in your sleep.

You're going to buy 7 or 8 of them? That's a bit excessive don't you think? Maybe like two or so... but buying all of them is a bit lame. I work at Target and I was actually pushing some of those Elmo things last week to the sales floor... I had two, they went very fast. We've been out for a while now. Not sure when we'll get more in. Friggin Elmo things are going to make the holiday season more crazy.

Can someone tell me why the company that makes them just doesn't send out more? I know someone will think "for profit", but the only ones that are making "a profit" are those that buy them from the store and then jack up the price (double or triple the cost). This company is actually losing money. They have to know that it will be a big hit! Remember ten years ago when the first Elmo came out?

Exposing your kids to Elmo is child abuse.
He teaches kids to speak in the third person like ******s.

Kel loves orange soda.

Sell your house and use all of the money to buy Elmos.
Sell all the Elmos on eBAY, and then you can buy your house back, plus another one like it.

True, very true, but he can also teach you to do it in Spanish (there is a spanish verision of the doll too).

You really want to score, wait in line on Nov.17 and get a couple Playstation 3's. It'll run you about 1000 bucks for two, but put those things on auction and watch that ROI jump.

Seems like everyone who would want one (and can afford one) would be fanatical enough to have reserved one (to make sure they get one the first day and to avoid the gouging you've suggested), so I see myself spending thousands on PS3's and no one buying 'em. :fear:

And then, I'm just handin' 'em out to little kids on the street, crying, or making a planter out of one, a lamp out of another, etc.

Can you tell me why you only had 2? What, are they shipping them out to the stores one (or 2) at a time? I figured they would ship a whole case (30-50) of them at a time.

Buy Them ALL!

Yes, buy them. Then make a video of you destroying them very brutally and post it on Youtube.

They do ship whole cases... but the two I pulled from the backroom were straglers. Somehow they ended up in the backroom and on my PDT asking to pull them from the backroom and push them to the sales floor. When I went to pull it the PDT asked for 74 TMX's (to fill the shelves) but obviously 74 were not there. Only two remained after the rest had been sold. I pushed them with the toys to the sales floor and a lady grabbed both of them and that was that. I'm sure we'll get more at some point... but we're all out as of now (I think). I did hear that one Target in Ohio only got seven in a shipment though... which is very strange.

I've only seen 1 of them, and I work at a frickin Toys R Us...the box they come in makes it look like you're buying a Velociraptor from Jurassic Park :o

TMX Elmo scares me. I wouldn't want that thing anywhere near my kids. If I had any.

No, they're EVIL!! If you buy them they'll control your mind and you won't be able to sell them to the kids :(

you dumb@$$!! you should've bought them already!! they're pry gone now!! I would have bought one :(
