Should I Report This

I think Sergeant Sticky is a lil shuck up. Let's give him a break eh.

Nope? OK -- sic him!

:D

Of course. One wonders if it even really happend.

dont report it.

for example if in the next days a kid dies because of the same dog....you can be happy because you saved a dog.
its nto the dogs fault. so dont report it. if a kid dies its hes fault.

Hello dark b, not seen you about in a bit :)

I'd rather save the kid than be able to point the finger :cwink:

I agree that it's more important to save anyone from future attacks by reporting the dog.

If my dog ever attacked someone I would want to know. If someone reported me, that's fine. Because if I found out my dog attacked someone and it wasn't reported, I would still put him down to save any futher attacks.

Captain, you should report it. Take pictures of your dogs injuries and your own.

You're the best LL :)

All sympathies for the dog aside, you need to report this. Both you and your dog were attacked by this dog that (from how it sounds) was wandering around your local woods by itself. You don't know the owner directly, thus I'd assume you don't know the dog's history. Does it have all it's vaccinations? Could it have been sick? It's obviously not trained if it just attacked you, what if it's mistreated? (Despite it's reputation, the Rottweiler breed is one of the gentlest, when treated well and trained well.)

Regardless of whether you are against euthanasia or not, you need to report this to place some sort of legal pressure on a person who (from what it sounds like) should not own a dog in the first place, and has likely created a danger to the community.

I think you need to go into the heart of the woods and slay the beast

Shoot the dog in the head, fake a suicide note and then leave the gun by the dog.

Are you honestly this stupid?

Report it

It did some fairly serious damage to your hand, Imagine what it would do to a child's head

Seriously you can stick up for the dog all you like but that's a dangerous animal.

Get the dog that bit you. Use chlorophorm or whatever you got thats handy to knock it out, then go all Lethal Weapon-tub-of-water-and-a-car-battery-on-its-a**, if the owner gives you any **** for shocking his dog then stab the owner in his hand with a fork. See how he like pucture wounds.

wel I did actually kick it a couple of times after it bit me although I as furious with the owner his only words were "he don't hurt no one" I have the bite marks to prove otherwise

I know you might feel bad that the dog will likely be put down, but next time it could be worse for someone else . . . even a child . . . I blame the owner more than anything . . . no such thing as a bad dog; only bad owners . . . .

whatever you decide to do, make sure you get checked for rabies . . .

At the very least, contact the owner and tell him to sort out his dog within a month or then you'll report it.

hahaha, sort him out? like what, grounding him?

"No ball-licking for the next 2 weeks, mister!"

maybe if he enrolled the dog in obediance school . . . but IMO, once a dog is past a year or two, there's little you can do to adjust its behavior . . .

**** that guy. If he didn't do anything about it, you should.

at least he didn't lie . . . he did hurt someone . . . double negatives FTW!

this is exactly what i mean.

they show these dog rehabilitation programmes on tv, it's amazing the sort of transformations one's pets can have if one devotes the time to it.

it's probably expensive but it's better than having your beloved pet put don for your misgivings...

that's true, I guess . . . if the guy could prove he was enrolling his dog in some kind of program . . . although judging by the cirsumstances this guy pry isn't the sharpest knife in the drawer . . .

Today I was out walking my Yorkshire Terrier around my local woods when we were attacked by a Rottweiler dog although I picked my dog up in time to stop it doing any serious damage it still managed to draw blood from both me and my dog I feel I should report this, however I worry that that dog would be euthanised and I do not agree with euthanasia so what should I do.

If it's between you and the dog, pick the dog. Or just wait until someone else in the area gets maimed by the thing.

I would have euthanised the dog right there, so.. yeah. 187 on a mu-f**k'in dog!:cmad:

Just go and shoot it yourself, then it doesnt have to be euthanised.
