Personally, I think it's a bad idea that would result in bad storytelling. I think this incarnation of Jean Grey has run its course. I think the next time the audience sees her should be in a prequel or a reboot. What do you think? Assuming there even is an X-Men 4, should they resurrect Jean Grey... again???

yeah i dont think they should bring her back.

Phoenix in the movie is not an enitity like in the comics... its just the name jeans split side called herself.

so it wouldnt make sense for her to resurrect.

so bad story telling if it ever happens.

I think the calls for her return stem from dissatisfaction with X3.

It is, theoretically, possible for her to return. There are endless possibilities. Cloning is among them - Jamie Madrox's DNA would provide the capability for replication, and we could see a Madelyne Pryor, a Rachel Summers or just another Jean, with the proecdure engineered by Sinister or by Moira or someone else who had access to Madrox (who, we must assume, was captured).

BUT such scenarios might well cheapen what happened to Jean in X3 and, therefore, a prequel or reboot would be a better idea.

We could even see a young Jean manifesting the Phoenix powers (with firebird) until some kind of incident/accident led to the mental blocks. When Beast said in X3 (as they set off for Alcatraz) 'His (Magneto's) powers have limits, hers do not', there was almost an implication that he knew exactly what she was capable of doing, perhaps from something dreadful in earlier years.

Still, I would love to see her back, I wasn't satisfied with the way they treat her in X3...

But, still, we can't expect characters to be revived and movies to be remade until every fan is happy. It would be like being caught on an endless loop and never going forward. I don't think I was 100% satisfied with any X-Men character and yet I realise i can't keep screaming 'bring 'em back' and 'remake/reboot/re-whatever' every time.

Mutant Massacre for X4. Fox should just do it already.

Agreed.

Mutant Massacre for X4. Fox should just do it already.

I don't particularly care to see a sequel to The Last Stand, but I think this is the best and most logical way to go if a sequel is made.

I voted no.

Two resurrections from the same character would be too much, for my tastes.

Like someone said, Jean's story was already told.

It's time for Gambit and Emma.

I voted yes( Iwas the second vote) cause well you have the name it's what phoenix's do, you have the damn name you should live up to it.
other wise there should have put the name on the character from the get go. It makes far more sense then the other character that both DC and marvel ( electra was one of those that started the trend) ( well not really but what ever) and a lot of those other ones aren't as good explanations as the phoenix one save for the spy type faked death. and the fact that every other sci- fi shows that has some what of an x-men style feel too it like Babylon 5, the 4400, and star gate SG1 have given tribute to the phoenix story line that bringing back their heroes that fans loved. and thsoe shows were shown inter nationally and people liked them
and many people under stood the story well enough, in those shows cause it was explained well enough. I don't see why people(certain fans claim other people won't get it) when those shows have proven other wise and make this( the phoenix story) more of a problem then it should be. and thsoe shows were shown inter nationally and people liked them.

And no the story was done bad and they have to make that up to us through their prequel sequels and spin offs. .

cause their already doing it with venom. with a venom movie.

so they might as well do it with this cause I find the X-Men characters more important them venom any day.

but if not in an X-men sequel, but in a spin off of her own or for it to be done with the hell fire club story line. . plus there was talk about the other character all getting spin off from the actors when X3 came about and they were talking sequel like Rogue spin-off and the producer already mention a Emma frost spin off before her character showing up in the Wolverine movie. And so on, so it's doable I do have the transcript proof of that inter view where the actors talked about that stuff. If any one wants to see it. just ask me, I'll direct you to it.

There was video on that page too. but you'll have to ask the tv station for that since they screwed up the online video links.

I don't think she should return, they ended her story with X-3 dispite how crappy they did the film it still ended her character. It would be like rewinding every thing and act like nothing happened, though I'm sure that's what many fans would love LOL.

NO SHE SHOULD NOT COME BACK!!!

Im already sick enough of how many times she dies and comes back in ALL of the comics and shows
i want her to die and STAY dead

For the longest time I have always wanted to write this down here she can we never saw rise from the dead In X2 She wrapped herself in a telekenetic cocoon and When Scott came and hit the water with his Optic blast the blast hit the water and it hit the cocoon and the Pheonix was released

:hq:

Hello? She's the PHOENIX!

Of course she should rise from her own ashes.

Jesus.

:thing: :doom: :thing:

she isn't phoenix, she was just Jean crazy. Phoenix was a name Xavier and her decided.

Phoenix is an entity in the comics, the movies has nothing to do with that, sadly for Phoenix fans.

So no, she can't and shouldn't come back. Sorry for Famke fans too.
