Every Spider-Man movie he always comes on top with the villian getting killed off or arrested and I thought a big change would be if the villian actually wins and Spider-Man is badly injured this would make the villian seem more of a threat and with Spider-Man losing it would be something completely different

He lost Gwen. He couldn't let her go and he paid the price. Granted she was reckless too but Pete could have avoided all of this since the first movie's ending.

I think it could work for like a cliffhanger ending that leads us into TASM4. The thing is, I think it only works with a certain amount of villains. Green Goblin, Doc Ock and Venom to name a few. I don't want someone like Sandman or Mysterio taking down Spider-Man so easily.

Sandman could make a great threat actually
I wouldn't mind seeing the hero loses once, it could make way to see another Spider-Man on film

I guess I could see Sandman being a bit of a threat to Spider-Man. Still think Green Goblin, Doc Ock or Venom being the best choice.

Punctuation, dude...

Would be a good way to end the series early if they ever so wished. Killing PP off would shock the audiences, certainly something different.

What purpose would it serve to kill Peter off, compared to letting him live? Just for shock? That's cheap.

It will be like an adaption of Death of Spider-Man in the Ultimate line, the director being a fan of that version of the character kind of makes me look forward to see that happen

I'm not saying he should be killed off but an unexpected twist would be to see the villian win with the movie ending with Spider-Man badly injured

"Should Spider-Man lose in the climax of the film?"

Maybe. Maybe not.

It would be interesting. I am still waiting for a super hero movie's last installment having the hero die. I would loveeeee to see that.

From a storytelling perspective, in what way would Peter's death wrap up this story, in a way that would be superior to Peter living?

We had that in Superman 4 and Batman & Robin. Superman 4 killed off Superman in films for 19 years and Batman & Robin killed off Batman for 8 years.

Yeah that nearly happened with The Dark Knight Rises when we thought Batman was dead until we saw Bruce Wayne in a cafè with Selina Kyle

Personally, I think Batman died.

Anyway, yeah I'd like for Peter to die at the end of this series... to make way for...

I was speaking generally, just not Spider-Man. I just believe that if a great story was told for a super hero and its ending being it the sacrificing of the hero's life, it would be something new, because it is rarely done. Just saying. Doesn't necessarily have to be spidey.

Thank you for making my night lol

Exactly, and when I, along with a group of people (who are comic book fans and movie buffs) had their jaws dropped, and loved the fact that Batman was "killed" because it just ended the story so well.
