Should the non word EMO be banned.

It is being overused and it's a pretty stupid word to begin with, why not say emotional? I absolutely hate it with a white hot passion. Does anybody else hate emo as much as I do? Can people admit that it is being overused at the very least?

I wish people would just let it go. What people are calling emo these days are were formerly called skaters and goths it's just evolved. The worst thing is when my middle schoolers talk about emo people as if anyone who cuts or self-mutilates is 'emo'. I told them to get a clue and realize that emo is a style and people who mutilate themselves have serious mental issues.

I wish people would just let it go. What people are calling emo these days are were formerly called skaters and goths it's just evolved. .

Skaters and Goths are completely different from Emo though they do share similar traits. Emo's evolved from the whole "scene kids" groups, where the ENTIRE point is following the scene, trying to look just like everyone else.. and liking bands because theyre meant to be cool.. not because you actually like their music (or have even heard it before.)
