I'd Like An Old Bobba Fett who gets taken out by a new jedi in 2 seconds then later on there is a 3rd younger Fett.

I agree, there should be an attempt that Luke has tried to rebuild the order. My idea was to have him have set up the Jedi Academy and maybe when he was training one of Leia and Hans children they turned to the darkside and did something horrible. Leia blames Luke for this and Luke too blames himself, making him close off the academy and live in self exile over his failure. Just an idea though, I'm sure theres lots of ways to do it.

Not bad, but that sounds a bit to "big" to happen "between episodes." That could be the focus of a trilogy.

Personally I think Lucas cast Hayden for his looks more than his acting abilities and his strange directing techniques did not help either. I agree Shaws reaction was pretty perfect, the look he exchanges with Ben as he appears says a million words and the look he gives Luke he just looks like such a proud father. I agree there should be some continuity, but I just think I'd be weird for a chubby 60 something Mark Hamil to point to his 20 something abercombie model father for words of wisdom you know?

I agree, Mark looking to Hayden for fatherly wisdom is odd. But, what I forgot to mention, is I have heard Hayden is actually a good actor outside of the Star Wars films. Perhaps under another director, Hayden could pull it off. And again, it would be more of a cameo of either him telling Luke he is moving on and he is proud of him and/or a warning to Luke about the darkside.

They could always unretcon Leia as the "other" Yoda refered to?

Possible, regarding TESB. However, in ROTJ, he does say "another Skywalker..." which, unless they try something crazy, would mean Leia.

You're welcome, I was 6 when the Phantom Menace came out, but I loved Star Wars since the first time I saw ANH on TV when I was 4. I'm kinda happy I was young when the prequels came out because I loved them at the time, they just didn't age well as I grew up, while the originals keep getting better.

It's nice to hear from the "new generation" that grew up with the prequels and don't carry that baggage of the older generation. I'm sort of rare that I am that older generation that doesn't hate the prequels. I rather enjoy them and the ideas, but the execution was off. They had the potential of being better than the originals, but sadly, they are not.

Maybe they made a clone son for Vader but he wears Red and we have a Red Darth Vader.

Like I said I'm sure theres other ways to do it, just throwing ideas out there. My thinking is if the movie starts off with some new people entirely who cross paths with Luke it could be more believable. Then it kinda makes sense why episode VII is so late because he's just now coming back to action?

The only other movie I've seen him in was Jumper, which was another disappointing film but I don't doubt he is. Natalie Portman is a great actress but she sucks in the prequels (Especially Episode III). I agree, I think Anakins ghost should have a very small but important role, a quick cameo that has a big impact.

I forgot he said that...Oh well there goes that idea.

I mean I loved them at the time, but I also loved the originals, so I think when people say they were more for kids thats not really fair. I totally agree though, the worst part of the prequels is that Lucas wrote them closed off, they had so much potential and the summary of the prequels we got in the originals was so good, its just disappointing. I wish we could have seen Anakin and Owen fighting over what do about the war, Obi-Wan egging him to join him the way he did with Luke, and Beru remembering Owens adventurous brother/best friend like they recalled in ANH. I wish we could have seen Obi-Wan once thinking he could save Anakin from the darkside only to lose faith as he became more machine than man like in RotJ. I wish we could have seen Padme hiding with Leia, scared and sad. It just sounds so much better than the stories we got. Not to mention Obi-Wan should have been portrayed more like Qui-Gon and Darth Maul was a much better villain than Dooku or Grevious (all three of whom got shafted anyway). So much lost potential :/

We also have Leia connecting with Luke and knowing things because of her Jedi ability. She can even remember Padme.

Yeah, that would mirror A New Hope...

Yeah, I heard Hayden was better in more dramatic films (Life As A House, I think it was called). And Natalie won an Academy Award, but if fairly wooden in the prequels. A new director could make a difference. And agree on Anakin's ghost.

What I mean is the prequels seem to have the right idea. I mean Clone Wars is very good based on the material set up in the films. It's just I wish Lucas had gotten someone else to write the actual screenplays and the acting was better, particularly from Hayden & Natalie on which the whole saga hinges. And the scripts probably could have gone through another draft or two.
