In JLA, of course it works. One being because they can always be seen together. But what would be done in the Batman titles? Would Diana begin being a supporting character to the books? Would Bruce show up in the new Wonder Woman title, just when they are trying to give her an identity? If they want the books to reflect on what is going on in the other books, it may be an issue.
The attraction was there, but it never lead to anything. For starters, I loved the way they depicted the possibility of a relationship, in JLU. Bruce always being optomistic about "that risk" of falling in love with another teammate. Especially with how that would conflict with when they were in the battlefield. Though he always did feel some kind of connection toward Diana, but kept denying it. While she would always play the cards, and willing to actually see where it would lead.
If anything, if it were to be explored, something along those lines would work perfectly. Not to mention a writer could have a bit of fun with writing that "chase" portion, of the dating process. However, there are chances that it may never happen again.
