Some of you guys make me feel normal! I don't have an X-men room or anything, but I do have various comic books. I have Uncanny #266 too!

Nice. That's one I'd love to get one day.

Pfft, Gambit Schmambit. I have Giant Size X-Men for this guy....

Can Gambit do that? Of course not!:oldrazz:

Gambit is way cooler than Colossus (and Black Panther). Hell, Illyana is even cooler than Colossus.

A few comics of mine...

The first Spidey comic I ever read:

Invincible kicks ass. As seen in my earlier posting, I have all five volumes of the Invincible ultimate collection (volume six comes out next month!).

Speaking of DIY home projects, I'm planning on doing this to some unsuspecting chair this summer.

I got the idea from the Bombus shop on Etsy which sells the top chair on occasion. http://www.etsy.com/people/Bombus The chair cost like, $500 on there, and I'm not paying for shipping from the UK.

that is a great idea. I've been wanting to make something like that with a book case, i was going to use photos and stuff but I think i like that idea even better. i made an arts & crafts thread in fan art, so if you do make one, be sure to post your progress!

This is an AWESOME idea that I am totally stealing. How long did it take you to save up the tickets?

Not really sure how long it took, I just to toss thm in a coffee mug I got in my room and one day decided to try i. I woul say I averaged maybe 12 movies a year so a few years.I only posted two of the frames, there are two smaller ones below those.

Our theater stopped giving out tickets like that though about a year ago. Now all we get are cheap stubs printed on like reciept paper.

Same here. My gf is pissed because she collects all her movie tickets, but with those, even keeping them out of the sun, they still fade.

It would still be great to do with concert tickets too, or a combination of both. I certainly have enough stubs around my house...

oooh, bookcase would be cool but I would imagine that would take a lot of time. I got lucky with my DVD bookcase in that I was able to steal one of my dad's custom made pine bookcases (having a librarian family is key to home decor, apparently). You might want to consider getting a base white bookcase from Ikea or thrifting, or just some plain crates and then painting the interior a bright, comic book colour. I did that once with wine crates and it looked great for displaying my comics and various comic book crap.

I will definitely check out the arts and crafts thread! I love DIY home decor!

Some of you might like this. Offbeat Home just had a feature on how to display your action figures

Hmm... I'm gonna start collecting all my movie tickets from now on! :)

I've been collecting movie tickets since 2006. It's quite fun looking back at the movies I've gone too.

I've got a lot of movie and sports tickets from the years..maybe I'll compile them in a frame too.

yeah I just keep my tickets in a pile (I started collecting since 08 with TDK but sadly I lost that one :cmad: ) , I might use that frame idea as well.

My friend just got me this badboy for my birthday.

That was really creative. Are you an artist of some kind?

I've collected tickets since 94. :o

I have tickets from all the Star Wars film releases in 97 and of course the prequels. I should frame those.

^there are some made with maps and one that's covered in sheet music that i really like

How are those made? Is it like a paper mache type of thing?
