impressive.

Here's me after a successful secret santa, in which my hints of 'seriously, anything to do with Superman, and i'll be grinning like an idiot' where finally taken on board.

Seriously though, it's all about Superman for me. The only other two things that come close are Joss Whedon and the 'Tomorrow Series' by John Marsden.

Are those Showcase things worth getting? I was thinking about getting the Flash ones but then I was like "ooo...Ghostbusters...." and got distracted...

I collect progams and playbills from all the shows I see. :)

I actually have to buy a Spider-Man one because they didn't have them out when I saw the show.

I have mine, we actually ran back into the lobby to get it because they didn't give them to us when we went to our seats:

I thought the show was terrible. The audience was so dead during the show that after one song in Act 2 one of the ushers had to start clapping just to get the applause started. I can't imagine how they're going to fix it all in just three weeks.

Here's what I did with a poster from a Broadway show I liked much better, American Idiot, which I saw 4 times. The ticket is from the time my mom and I sat in the front row, when Billie Joe Armstrong was playing St. Jimmy:

I was wondering the same thing about Showcase... I rather get those Chronicles or Archives things since they have colour....

I don't understand the Gone with the Wind thing. I've seen it, it's not that good a film...

I forgot what thread I was in, and saw the first plate and I thought to myself ''What kind of kinky **** is CC into'' haha.

-Power Rangers (I have about sixteen action figures, but that's probably fankidism I haven't yet let go of...)
-Anything X-Men
-Anything Avengers
-Doctor Who

My friend who rather likes 'the office' would like to share a quote :3

Would I rather be feared or loved? That's easy, both. I want people to be afraid of how much they love me.
-Michael Scott

Well I prefer Raiders of the Lost Ark. But you are comparing two different types of movies. I've watched Gone with the Wind a few times and I can recognize it's impact on Hollywood especially in 1939. It's on AFI's list, preserved in National Film Registry and based on inflation is the highest grossing movie ever.

It's a classic, historical epic.

I've never seen all of Gone With The Wind.

Frankly my dear[BLACKOUT]s[/BLACKOUT], I don't give a damn [BLACKOUT]about Gone With The Wind[/BLACKOUT].

I liked GWTW the first time I watched it, but whenever I try again, can't get past the part where she's putting the ribbon (or hat or whatever) on her head. I love Casablanca tho :D

Erz got it. Gone With The Wind is the ultimate standard of classic. That's all the explanation it needs.

i'm about to ban everyone in here dissing GWTW

It's an amazing film. From the being the first fully done in technicolor, to being the highest grossing selling movie of all time (inflation etc) based on one of the largest in print books of our time, to the score, cinematography, history, stories behind the film, the cast, etc

vivien leigh giving one of the greatest performances on screen of all time, beating out literally thousands for the role.

They're okay... but I definitely think the archive ones are better. Showcase is like the cheap version of a collection.
