My God, I will BE THERE.

Consider me ****ing excited as hell. Love it, love it, love it. This will be my first Scorsese experience in theaters.

Then you are in for a treat for sure

so do you guys think it would be better to experience shutter island as a filme first, or should i go ahead and track down the book? do you think it would take away from either knowing what comes next? or is it possible that Scorsese's take on the story will have enough to offer on its own that it will be equally exciting with or without prior knowlege?

Hmm im glad Marty is spreading his wings a bit. I always like when a director who is so established can make such a diverse change in his work.

Why are all the good film magazines only available for subscription in the UK?

It's not fair.

Any spoilers in that article? I started reading but stopped myself.

Finally got around to checking out the trailer.

Looks great! Really like the cast Scorsese got for this, DiCaprio, Jackie Earle Haley, Ben Kingsley and Elias Koteas. Not to mention having Max Von Sydow is always a bonus!

I don't know if this is a good sign or not. :o

You could guess all day and only scratch the surface on this thing. ;)

Well Ive read the book, I know the twists, yet I couldn't be more excited from the trailer than I am. It is amazing to see the scenes Ive imagined brought to life.

well ok good because...

In Identity John Cusack's Character was just a figure of a prisoners imagination.Actually all the characters were made up in his mind but that's besides the point.

I know and that is not it, it's clear you all have figured this not a straight forward thriller but if you don't intend to read the book I'd say the less questions you ask the better. I read it and my theories changed constantly as the story unfolded.

good thank you because i have heard people bash the books ending for being too predictable and cliche that seemed like a predictable ending lol

also would you call the ending predictable ?

No not at all, I'm surprised people would say that, in fact if the scenes at the end are delivered as well as they are written you will be wondering until the very last moment just who is telling the truth.

Nice!

I can't remember the last suspense/thriller that I saw that had a look and vibe like this one.

This is different from what i expected from Scorsese and I mean that in a good way. I haven't read the book and don't want to spoil it for myself. The trailer definately moved my anticipation up a few notchs. Leo really has that accent down , by the way.
