I haven't read the book, but knowing Scorsese and having read reactions from the leaked script, there's been quite a bit changed from the book. I may be wrong (I prefer avoiding spoilers for movies like this, I won't be reading the book until perhaps after I see the film), but I recall seeing a thread on IMDb discussing the ending being changed. But Scorsese has changed things from books before, and even added characters (Joey LaMotta in Raging Bull) and things have worked out extremely well, so I'm hoping for the best.I just finished the book today and was blown away by it, Ive never read a story so fast in my life, I read the whole thing in two sittings. If Scorsese can capture the books haunting sadness, creepiness and foreboding atmosphere it is gonna be a classic b/c the story is flat out amazing and the dialogue superb, Kingsley and DiCaprio should have some cracking scenes together if they don't change much or cut too much out.

My god, it sounds so surreal.
I could be wrong, but I remembered months ago, that the movie changed it's title to something else for some odd reason.
