Siege

That would be the second part of Osborn's plan. All the public would know is that some oddly dressed weirdo with a sword got into a fight with some other oddly dressed weirdos and an entire stadium full of people died as a result while the weirdos got away scot-free. Then Osborn comes along and announces that HAMMER investigations have revealed that the party responsible was an Asgardian, a superpowered nut who claims he's an actual, living god, and then he reminds everyone that there's a whole city of these psychos floating over US soil in Oklahoma. He could even offer a faux olive branch and just ask the Asgardians to turn Volstagg alone over to him. They'll refuse of course, and then Osborn swears to hold the whole lot of them responsible for Volstagg's recklessness and remind the gods that here in the present, when man has mastered the world, even gods aren't above the law. The public cheers as Osborn goes to town on Asgard and no one cares one iota that Thor is a god who's defended humankind for years or that Volstagg was trying to help or that the gods have managed to live peacefully with the people of Broxton for a while now.

It's fear-mongering plus the power of the media in action, which have always been major themes of Dark Reign.

That that sounds like the premise of a great stor...Oh wait Bendis :o

For the people who haven't seen the Siege solicitations for March.

Ultron is all kinds of messed up, his father is having a relationship with his daughter, who's mind is based on his father's now dead ex-wife, whose alias his father is now using, Freud would love this stuff.

Pym is off in the Pymverse where he has to battle Ultron.

Yeah, it looks like Ultron just takes this opportunity to try his hand at patricide again. US Agent is going to be participating in the Asgard stuff, and probably Hercules as well (for old times' sake). That cover seems to indicate Hank, Jarvis, and Jocasta are going to be dealing with Ultron in Pymspace. How the rest of the team splits between those fronts, we'll probably have to wait and see.

Okay Ive read up till all the recent issues of the 3 main Avenger titles in preparation of Siege. Are there any books I should look into to understand the main story of it?

The covers from Thunderbolts would suggest that Quicksilver and Stature are in Asgard as well (which probably means Vision too).

Which is too bad, in a way, because I'd be interested to see what Ultron would make of Vision 2.0 and his girlfriend.

My friend and I have been sitting talking about Osbournes bodygaurd, I don't know what predictions are on here already I didn't really want to read 41 pages of this thread. My prediction is the Destroyer armor. Just throwing it out there.

One problem with that.

Recent issue of Thor shows Doom wearing the Destroyer armor.

He wouldn't be afraid of it as he's been shown previously.

Damn, I didn't know that. I haven't read those issues so one question, if Doom was using the destroyer armor how does the Marvel universe still exist?

I don't think Doom actually has the Destroyer armor. He seems to have studied it thanks to Loki and created a duplicate that Thor accidentally powered with his lightning. Odds are, it's not gonna hold up as well as the actual Destroyer armor would, but we've still got an issue to go in the arc before we find out.

More luv from the public and whatever super cool awesome things he can nab from a freaking Realm where the God's call home.

Hey i was just thinking, what if Norman's mysterious bodyguard is that Collective dude from the "Collective" arc in New Avengers? Didnt he have like the power of all of the depowered mutants? That would make him extremely powerful and enough to make even Doom afraid right?
