We all come to a variety of websites for our news, wizard universe, newsarama, comic book resources, this site etc. But new comic readers may not know about what's out there and use marvel.com for all their info. Does anyone else like me feel they should have released at least some kind of statement about the delays on their main site(they still haven't just endless stories about how many awards it's winning. What with this and the way marvel never actually announced to the fans (just sent e-mails out to shops that got leaked), I can't help getting the feeling they were trying to get this swept under the carpet as just another delay rather than the cluster**** it has become. Thoughts?

There site isn't always up to date.

Geez bud,you really need to chill on all these "F_CK CIVIL WAR DELAYS and BRYAN HITCH" threads.

A I wasn't having a go I was asking a question

B two threads is hardly overkill given the general reaction/magnitude of this screw up

c it could have safely gone in one of the other threads

(not bothered mind you 2 threads isn;t overkill and I got to use that image I just nicked :) )

Not really. When it's at my LCBS, I'll buy it. If it ticks you off that much, then don't. It's not exactly the bombing of Pearl Harbor.

I was going to say the Crusades, but they seem so yesterday.

OK, I'm trying to play nice. If you have a beef, just say it.

Uhhh, comparing a comic being late to the bombing of Pearl Harbor is a TAD EXTREME, don't you think?

Really, you dont have to create a thread for every asinine topic about these delays.

Okay I'll bite, what context would make that fit? lol

In the context in which he used it, he was saying that the delays are not like the freakin bombing of pearl harbor. As in, stop acting like it's something as huge as that, when it's really nothing more than a couple of weeks delay for a freaking comic. Which is acceptable, as apposed to saying, this delay is as bad as Pearl harbor was. Context.

This reminds me of when people trot out the old Holocaust reference. It's not like the bombing of Pearl Harbor? REALLY????? Oh, phew. Good thing!

Yeah, I was gonna use the Holocaust also, but people get really touchy about that one.

Marvel was embarassed by their lack of efficiency when it comes to shipping so they just wanted to keep the info on the downlow. The comics will come out eventually. Until then I'll just keep reading stuff by Image, Dark Horse, and other indie comics. Thus, it doesn't bother me.

When has Marvel ever put up Press Releases on their site regarding delayed comics? I never check official sites, they never have the info I want.
