Siege

I think he's gonna be the real villain of Siege.

I hope that's how it turns out, but I think Loki and Osborne will be wrapped up by the end of issue 3 or beginning of issue 4, and Sentry/Void will be the big bad in the end.

Sure, but what cause would DD have to help out Thor and a bunch of crazies calling themselves gods in Oklahoma? Like I said before, even if they have met, they've never been particularly close.

Don't think too hard about it, he's in it the same reason Deadpool's in Doom War... Because he can.

I thought DP was in Doom War because editorial is tossing him into everything. Which is the in comic reason as well if you ask DP.

I'm guessing it's the Sentry. Thankfully, Thor's arm is clearly there, so they're not killing him off again.

Should have been half of Ares they're holding. :p

The Newsarama posters got it right, it's Sentry and the "returning" writer is Paul Jenkins (even though he was just writing Son of Hulk as recently as last year). Or it's Marvelman and Alan Moore, but I think my head would explode if that happened.

Thank god Sentry is going away, my question is how? The dude is freakin invincible.

Thor hits him in the face with his hammer really hard? Maybe? ;)

Nah, it'll probably be some internal battle or the Void will manifest separately or something.

It's Cage. He grew an Ice-T inspired perm between issues.

Avengers Prime: Siege Aftermath

Geez, a whole 5 issues? The aftermath's longer than the event. Still, I'll of course be getting it. Man, Davis draws a great Thor.

Oh, and it just occurred to me that Davis also drew "Standoff." That was in some ways the beginning of the problems between the Avengers' big three. Thor hasn't been an Avenger since then.

Why does Bendis have to write everything Avengers related? Seriously, i used to be a fan of the guy's work but now its becoming a bit of sensory overload. Give someone else a shot.

I'm not too happy to hear he's writing this particular plot. I was hoping the reconciliation of the big three would be handled by someone I actually like. But he's taken an interest in the characters, so I suppose we've gotta brace ourselves for a whole hell of a lot of Bendis Avengers comics this year.

There's always Ultimate Avengers by Millar. :awesome::awesome::awesome:

The only way someone not named Bendis will write an Avengers themed book is if Bendis has a nervous breakdown from being overworked.

^^But Slott was writing Mighty Avengers and Brubaker will be writing Secret Avengers.

Going out on a limb: If it's not Sentry that they're referring to dying, it'll be Maria Hill.

Bendis is writing SIEGE, New Avengers finale, plain Avengers, New New Avengers, while Brubaker has one book (that people seem more skeptical of) and Slott may have nothing.

That's a long friggin limb there fella. As much as I  Maria, I doubt the whole Marvel U would come together to mourn her as the solit states. Sentry fits the bill since he's always been touted as Marvel's "Superman".
