Siege

That was awesome! Great issue. Dude, I don't wanna say anything! But I do.

Spider-Man! Osborn! Sentry?! Wow.

Souless, what you're confirming....really? I didn't get that at all. ???? Why do you think that?

It was a joke. [blackout] The last shot slightly resembles a spider and carnage (as it's red and black, hurr), and since Sentry ripped Carnage apart way the **** back when, it just feels like something that would come out of left field and completely blind side everyone. Sentry destroys Carnage, Void absorbs Carnage to keep that "whatever you do, I'll do the oppoiste" thing, and it slowly seeps in.[/blackout]

Kind of a waste of an issue...too short and not a whole lot happened. At least someone got ripped in half in issue #2

Did anyone feel that the [BLACKOUT]Spider-Man/Osborn moment was kind of just tacked on for all of us who were going on about how he should take Osborn down? It didnt feel right.[/BLACKOUT]

I'm really not feeling this event so far. It's not bad, but it's nothing special either outside of the stuff with Sentry.

and they should just get it over and have Oden kill the Void already

Wait, the X-Men and the F4 were just watching!? C'mon, the villains are all banded together but only a handful of heroes show up. And lol@ Spidey's "big moment", sorry Spidey fans but that punch may be all you're gonna get.

As feared, Siege is gonna turn into Everybody vs Void but issue #3 was solid. 8/10

Very much so. If I liked Spidey more, I'd almost be insulted haha.

Yeah, this issue was definitely not as spectacular as the first two. However, it had some solid moments and I'm eager to see the impact of Sentry's actions on Thor and nearby Broxton -- is this yet another Stamford?

But I'm telling you, and I've said this since Siege was announced. Cap will disappear for a few seconds -- probably one of the transporters will get him out -- as the rest take on Sentry (Ms. Marvel may die, or Nick Fury in this hold off).

Then, when all hope is lost, Cap will appear with Scarlet Witch, who utters: "There is no Void" and wipes The Void, and possibly Reynolds, from existence.

Just my theory.

And if you read the insert "text transcript" between Maria Hill and The White House well...we get a clue that Hill and Broxton may not be in a very good place right now...

I'm happy with Spider-Man's moment in SIEGE #3. That's all I wanted and that's all I'm probably gonna get. I'm satisfied.

I can dig this, as long as it ends with Wolverine gutting Wanda. I still haven't gotten over M-Day

I mentioned before how out of place it would feel, but ironically I thought it was fine. :)

Sucked to see [blackout]Asgard fall[/blackout], but I guess it had to happen sooner or later. And hey, at least [blackout]Thor didn't completely get his ass kicked[/blackout] for once. Of course, there is still another issue left.

I enjoyed the issue. Why must people find reasons to complain? This series has been a good, quick pace, narrative with a ton of good fight scenes. Stop hating and enjoy seeing Steve, Tony, and Thor back to their rightful place.

I think the only problem with Siege is as people pointed out: Why are FF4 and X-Men just watching TV?

I laughed at that page to be honest. I mean, I get why the X-Men are staying out of it. They're staying out of everything. Last time they got into it with Osborne they ceded into a new nation. So it makes sense that they're out of it. But the FF had me go wuh?

However, the end of the book (the text pages where it's Maria Hill talking to the Secrectary of Defense and the rest of the heads of state that were shown in a few panels), Maria hill says "call scott summers and reed richards, the avengers need help, they need the x men and the ff!" Or something of that nature. That was right before Asgard came crumbling down.

So expect them to be in issue 4.

Did anybody else notice that Cyclops had half a ***** when he was watching the tv?

Yeah. The president also gave them the go ahead for the kill order on Osborne, which I thought was baller.

My thoughts on Seige 3...

Fun issue, best one yet...

***SPOILERS***

The Good

Iron Man is officially back!

Cap layin' the smackdown on Osborn

Spider-Man getting the final K.O. punch

Sentry gone for good?

Osborn wearing make-up under his helmet

H.A.M.M.E.R. down!!

What Happened to Loki?

Beautiful art by Coipel

The Bad

My only complaint is the Thor/Sentry "Fight," it was pathetic

My thoughts/questions on SIEGE #3:
Overall another great issue by Bendis. Not better than #2 but at the very least just as great. Bendis should stick with all action in his comics. He orchestrates epic action scenes very, very well. He's right up there with Millar's Ultimates or Authority and Ellis' Authority. The dialogue was heavy at the beginning with the POTUSA/Joint Chiefs voice over but never ended up being "Bendis-talk".

The art team from pencils to inks to colors was absolutely OUTSTANDING. Sentry looked awesome with his pale complextion, red eyes and veins in his face. They really nailed home the fact that the man known as Robert Reynolds doesn't exist anymore, just a monster. Asgard looked fantastic in it's destruction, the reds and oranges from the fires of the battle engulfing the night sky of Broxton. Very well done.

Thor vs. Sentry while brief, was awesome. Coipel draws a SICK Thor. I liked Cap verbally sh**ing on Taskmaster, Tony's return, and Spidey's moment decking Osborn, putting him on his ass once and for all. I didn't really like the fact that the Hood and 50 supervillains show up at a key point in the book only to be quickly dismantled in a few panels. When they showed up I though the Avengers were F'ed. Then nothing really happened.

I don't understand why Osborn's face has now taken on the appearance of the Green Goblin. I guess it'll be explained in SIEGE #4? Bullseye and Moonstone seemed to not be too surprised by it. And what was with the blue force field around Osborn? Was that his or is it some kind of restraint?

It was make-up, to show how insane he really is beneath the Iron Patriot facade, I guess.
