They got Luigi's.
Another reason to love living in Orlando
I seriously hope they didnt get rid of the jaws ride for this, I already lost back to the future to the f***ing Simpsons.
I think this will be where the kwik E mart currently is but expanded to the krusty ride. But Harry Potter is taking the Jaws spot.
This would've been wonderful. 10-15 years ago. When The Simpsons was still acceptable.
Well, that sounds intriguing. Actually also, during a typical tourist vacation at Gran Canaria a coupla years ago, I found out that the local grocery store had Duff Beer (the one with correct Simpsons font on the label).
I had to try it, and to my surprise that Duff beer was a dark lager. Not bad at all. But I assume that's the export version. t:
Yeah I was thinking the same thing. Isn't this at least a few years too late? The Simpsons are kinda on life support at this point.
nope jaws was sacrificed to the great gods of hogwarts for a potter extension and a gringotts rollarcoaster
The theme park actually gives me another reason to re-visit the classic episodes with my kids before going to the park.
I'm sure there are many others who plan on doing the same.
Is it wrong if I want to move and live there?
There's still a good decade+ of classic episodes in there. The Simpsons will always be loved for those, no matter how bad the episodes might or might not be now.
Out of all of the animated shows past and present is there any you would prefer to see a park made out of over The Simpsons? Personally I'd love to see South Park but that is never going to happen sadly.
Simpsons has pretty much become a brand unto itself, like Mickey Mouse and whatever. It skirts the line between being for both kids and adults.
Who would be the target market for that?
18-28 year olds.
Kinda narrow and mature for a theme park, dont'cha think?
They can make a South Park park in Las Vegas!
I want a Jurassic Park expansion dammit. Also, eh, I like the Simpsons ok, but I'm not big on this idea. I miss Back to the Future Ride and all that came with it.
Hence why I said it will sadly never happen because the show isn't kid friendly enough. Although you could say the same for The Simpsons but it is more socially acceptable and not as blatant with its adult humor.
I miss the Back to the Future ride too, but the Simpsons ride is pretty awesome.
I loved the setup that they already had for the Simpsons, I can't wait to see it built up even more.
It's older than some adults are so it definitely has appeal to kids and adults even if it is not what it was when the adults were children themselves.
Bunch of pics got released:
Kinda liking the Moe's Tavern one the best.
That Krusty Burger logo scares the **** out of me but I'd still go order one.
That sure looks like some Krusty Burger quality food. I found a video that tours most of the expansion. I love the giant mouth entrance to Krustyland.
Can't wait for one of these to end up on Ebay.
I can't wait to go there!
