According to this, http://www.comics2film.com/FanFrame.php?f_id=22932, Sin City 2 has been postponed indefinitely and may not happen at all... One rumor is that Angelina Jolie may be pregnant again - damn woman, adopt another thirld world kid and call it a day - so Rodriguez doesn´t wanna do it without her, the other is that Rodriguez and Miller - who can be a big time a-hole about his creation - can´t stand each other anymore. I find that one kinda hard to believe cuz I know Rodriguez was in fact very protective of Miller´s SN graphic novels as he did the first.

I'm waiting for some other confirmation on this rumor. AICN is often reliable on things concerning Rodriguez and Tarantino, so they'll probably ask someone.

hope it's not true. Damn Angelina has to forget sex ( or least be friends with a condom) for some time and actually work :(

Surley that woman couldn't have held up production on her own! I thought the plan to keep this thing going was already cemented?

I don't buy it, until it comes from an official source. Both RobRod and Miller are both psyched about this movie. RobRod said he would like to get Jolie, but she's not the only one who could play the role.

Hmm...I don't believe it at all, Frank and Robert sounded like they were great friends on the DVD, and from what I know, they are pretty excited about doing a sequel. So I don't believe it one bit.

Ok, the rumor was BS.

This week I received reports, parts of which have also been reported by Film Ick, that a halt had been called on preproduction artwork for "Sin City 2" and creators dismissed, that there have been significant disagreements between Rodriguez and Miller, and the handshake deal with Angelina Jolie fell apart, leading to doom and gloom for the eagerly anticipated sequel. It seemed to be circulating everywhere. So I took it to the big man.

I've been told by Frank Miller's attorney, Harris Miller, that this is incredibly incorrect and there's not even anything yet to which to call a halt. "Frank's working on 'The Spirit' and his comics work, and Robert's working on 'Grindhouse' and other projects. Nothing's been set yet and nothing's been altered. There are certain discussions that must take place before the sequel is scheduled, and those talks haven't even begun. . . . . And Frank and Robert aren't having any disagreements, significant or otherwise."

Shortly thereafter, Harris Miller forwarded this message to me:

This is patent nonsense. Cybercrap.

FM

There you go. You heard it from Frank. I dare you to disagree with him when he stares you in the face.

Yea! :yay: "Cybercrap" ...nice one, Frank. LOL.

However, it sounds like they haven't even *started* getting stuff together for this movie yet. I wish they would have filmed it *before* Grindhouse. Oh well, great things take time.

Still wondering if Miller will shoot The Spirit before starting Sin City 2.

Thank God... The rumor kinda sorta sounded like BS anyway.

HE SKINNY: Tonight at an exclusive sneak peek screening of the new Warner Bros. movie 300 directed by Zack Snyder based on the graphic novel by Frank Miller, iF MAGAZINE got the goods on the rumored demise of SIN CITY 2. When asked if the sequel to the movie he co-directed with Robert Rodriguez was still a go Miller explained:

“The script is almost completed, and we’re just waiting for everyone’s schedules to clear up.” He also added that the comic book is still being written at the same time as the screenplay.

Good to know the script is almost done. :D

This movie is being canned because of Angelina Jolie?Just get someone else to play the part.

^But does that mean there waiting for Angelina Jolie's schedule to be free?

Bearing in mind its from a trash/gossip Australian magazine, but I recently read some supposed "account" of a meeting between Jolie and Rodriguez where she turned down a part her had offered her due to the fact she and Pitt are trying to spend more time with their kids.

However the "report" also noted that Jolie indicated she might be available if Pitt was also offered a role as it would mean they would be together for filming with the kids.

Doubt there is any truth to the report whatsoever, especially as it reported that Jolie had spilled all sorts of personal details about her life with Pitt etc to Rodriguez.

Cheers.
