Sequels Singer Approached For X4?

They can handle comic book movies staying true to the comic - V for Vendetta

They can handle numerous characters with each having a purpose - The Matrix movies and even the Animatrix

They know how much action and drama to put into movies, including character development, plot, etc. - V for Vendetta, Matrix movies, and the Animatrix

You know, the more I think about the Wachowskis, the more I start to like the idea of them doing an X-men movie. Not my first choice mind you, but definitely a possibility.

Just please, no Singer or Ratner.

V for Vendetta wasn't that true to the comic book. But at least it had an resounding emotionally core and was a great film which is more than I can say about X3,Ratner. So bring them in Marvel!

I wouldn't like to see another x-men movie before 2010. Let's hope people will somehow forget about the crap in X3.

I remember people talking about Batman movie with George Clooney that they didn't like it at all. And people can forget about BAD movies.

Some useless information. X3 did much better than Superman Returns here in Greece. X3 spend almost two months in theaters, while SR made it for 4 weeks only (i think) and is low in DVD rent sales.

No, we need more characer developement. That was what ruined X3 because of the hack director who somehow found his way into a franchise with opputiornity and descided to destroy.

More character developement or bust

More character development my ass.... For what? If either director did his job early on in the movie, there would be no need to develop them any further after the first film. If that's the case, why not make the movie a drama with no special effects at all.. And they can run around in their tight little leather costumes complaining about how the world hates them, without doing anything about it, but flying around in their expensive jet, and living at a techno-savy secluded mansion.

No claws or attitude for Wolvierine, no telekenisis for Jean, no lazer beams from Scott, no absorption from Rogue, no magnetism from Eric, no metallic mayhem from Piotr, and no warm and fuzzy Hank... Is that what you want, for sake of getting to "know" each character?.... You must be out of your #<$^% mind.

If the director gave the most popular version of each character, that would already set the tone for what was to come. Once the moviegoer has a feel for the character, you can go all out with effects, like Tim Story did with Fantastic Four 2.

So if you're still asking for more character development even after the third movie, then that should be a sign that that director wasn't doing his job in the first place.

X4 should return to X1 tempo, definetly. Start with scenes of dialogue only, for the main characters, and when that is done, start with the action.

How many times do you think a mainstream audience can accept a character coming back from apparent death?

It might be a stretch to have her in X4. That should focus on other characters, get things back on an even keel, re-establish the X-world.

There's a chance that she could come back, as herself, or in some other form, in a movie after X4. But X4 shouldn't be 'undoing' what was done in X3.

I think Jean deserved more, the same way all the x-men deserve it, but she has died two times, so really sorry for not seeing her one more time, and sorry to her fans, but X4 should continue the x-world, not return to the same.

Gambit should enter now and change the actual status of the team, starting with Rogue, more with Logan too. And Emma can have her good role too, so that should be X4, new times for the characters.

They need to focus on less X-men and more action. I think X3 had too many mutants that were introduced. I'd love to see them transform Angel into Archangel in the films. That would be really sweet, kinda like Harry in the Spider-Man films. He's a good guy at first, turns then comes back. From what I've seen with the Silver Surfer from FF2, Archangel could be sweet.

Not agreed about the action. The x-films need less action and more dialgue/emotional scenes. Just watch Heroes. I think it's quality is bigger than X3, definetly.

Yeah, something like that. Just take the first movie as foundation for the main characters and start a new story.
