Sequels SHOULD Singer even return to the X-Men franchise?

I couldn't be more pissed! I wanted to see an all new take a more faithfull one then the garbage singer put out. I wanted the original five like the fantastic first class comic!

Should be great. His only flub was Superman Returns and the reason that was so bad is that he was so determined to pay homage to the first Superman movie that he made it a dumb rehash. He certainly won't need to pay homage to himself for X1. This film will rock.

Actually hearing the announcement gives me some hope. I guess X-Men: First Class will show if this series can keep going or not. If Singer is back, then maybe they can raise the level of quality back up.

Yeah, if you were expecting them to deliver a movie close to the comics at this point you were seriously deluding yourself.

Even if it was a reboot (which it had NO CHANCE of being as long since the films are still making money), it would a reboot under ****ing Fox.

All I want is just another good movie set in this version of the X-Universe.

I adore Singer's first two. That said, I don't care about what's already happened. I want the X-Men saga to move forward chronologically if they're gonna try to save it.

Additionally, so what if they do make another one with a big budget and a good cast and screenwriters and strong source material and most of the cast back? Tom Rothman is still the head of Fox. The best of intentions will be soaked in Rothman piss, I assure.

I liked Storm the most in X3. She was far too reserved in the first two flicks. The writers, Singer and Fox just didn't get Storm at all. She was pathetically written.

I wasn't asking for a Storm movie with the first two flicks but I did want a stronger Storm who actually acted like she was second in command of the X-Men. If you only watched the first two X-flicks you'd think that Jean was second in command.

I aree with this post. And as for Sabretooth? Nuff said.

Singer does his own take on things and characters, some of which end up being depressed or self pitying. I dont think I'm going to have much sympathy with the characters in this film.

Hey I love the first two xmen - but singer walked away from the third and decided superman was more important. The franchise needs a complete reboot - that includes wolverine too - wipe the cast, actors and writers clean.

I think the news would have been AMAZING if it was X4....

but after reading the plot concept, Im more excited and I think this prequel could connect some plots with a more possible X4 now.

If Singer is back, I think he is back for the rest of the saga!

There is no evidence or inclination to believe Fox will be moving ahead with X-4 after this. We are more likely to see sequels to this before X-4 if its a huge hit.

I think it would be the obvious next step.

Im 100% sure Bryan hasnt come back only to do First class. Just my opinion.

First Class makes me a bit more hopeful for an X4. Singer is back on the franchise and this prequel might be used to set up for an X4.

But it may not be the next thing right after First Class. We might get another prequel or two. But at least it feels like there is hope for the franchise for the first time since X3 came out.

See if you are just going to keep bringing up quotes over a year prior to this date I can't really argue with you. I know it's Christmas and we are all in a merry spirit, but step out of fantasy land for a change. Even if X-4 is the next step, it won't be before more FC and Wolverine movies. 2016 earliest.

SR is his only misstep and i honestly beleive it was'nt even a bad film it was well directed/well acted/etc and i enjoyed it it was just not the superman film we wanted.
