Edit: do you count rappers as singers?
Agreed. I liked DMX & Eminem too; although Marshall was just basically playing himself.Warhammer said:I don't agree with that.
Ludacris has been in great movies, and his acting wasn't terrible at all.

Beyonce's been terrible in everything I've seen her in. As for Janet, Penny was an abused child, (something she knew a little bit about) Charlene was a teenage girl whose character presented no real challenges-anybody could've played her. And on Fame she played a singer. I always say the way to tell if a singer can act is if they play a singer. 1-they're not stepping far out of reality, & 2-they'll be singing, which gives us less time to watch them trying to act.DarKush said:I think Bon Jovi did all right in Cry Wolf (?) playing a college professor of all things. And I think Beyonce has potential. I want to see how she'll fare in Dreamgirls. Janet also wasn't bad in Nutty Professor 2. And I think she did fine as Penny on Good Times, Charlene on Diff'rent Strokes, and then on Fame. I don't know if she should attempt to carry a movie again like Poetic Justice, but in a small role she's okay.
