After watching X1 and X2 again recently.....

Actually I doubt Nightcrawler would be in X3 since Alan Cummings did NOT get on with Singer at all.

But yes I agree with you 100%

Singer is my favorite director and I was very, very disapointed the day I read he wasn't going to do X3. I feel like I was teased with a the promise of what would've been my #1 film - that I'll now never see.

Ah well, I'll get over it. ;)

Actually none of them got on with Singer, at least from different interviews, it seeems that way. Cummings was just summing up everyones feelings on the movie.

Right now I'm noting the complete list of scenes of X1 for do next a personal version of mine of how it would have been better; I mean how the franchise would have been better since the beggining.

I'll do the same with X2. And I'll show it to you when I'll finish both versions.

I'm going to try to give Cyclops, Storm, etc. more screen time and less for Logan, and introduce a few changes to the scripts, it will be more than less the same scripts, but with some new moments/scenes, and maybe new characters.

HAHA...me too:up:
I know the little kid that is playing Lois Lane's son. He and his family are going to Grahman's for the opening. His grandpa brings him in to talk to us sometimes...it's pretty cool...I have learned a lot of spoilers!

I could think of many improvement for the first two movies, but would have made the movies better or worse than they turned out? We'll never know, but i do know, that Singers X3 would have been a much better and longer movie than what we are getting.

Yeah, and Fox wouldnt have been up his ass, right?

theres no guarantee fox would have let singer make a2hr xmen movie again, right?

If singer was on, We would have got X-3 and X-4 last year

We wouldnt have got them that fast!, 2006 would have been the earliest we would have got Singers X3, but it would have been a lot better than the X3 we got.

Well, i decided to resurrect this thread because it now has more relevance than ever. After reading the ending planned for X3 by Singer and co, i almost cry at the fact that we got TLS instead. I now truly hate Fox, they have converted me from a very loyal customer of theirs to someone who will now not look forward to any movie they are involved with. Please come back Bryan Singer, please!!!

In 2005?? I don't think so... but I think if Singer had gotten his way and filmed X3 & X4 back-to-back, we would've gotten two 90 minute movies released on Memorial Day '06 & '07 respectively. I think he would've capped off the franchise in fine fashion and done The Dark Phoenix Saga justice. I must say though that I respect what Brett Ratner did with The Last Stand and enjoyed the film a lot despite the short running time.

Bring Singer Back! Bring Famke back, James back, bring back the whole cast and make it like it was. :( -cries-

Totally agree, Singer would have made this movie awesome, not just average.

I'm really curious. ... Even curious about the confirmed rumor about Famke pulling out of the project. I think she too wanted to do more than one X movie regarding her character arc.

If that was what she too wanted, then I wouldn't mind if she did pull out of the project.

.....i get the distinct impression that Singers X3 would have been vastly different from the X3 we are getting. I havent seen X3, so i cant judge it, but i think Singers version would have been the best of the series by a long way. I get the impression that, the movie would have been longer, at least over 2 hrs, Cyclops would have taken centre stage in the 3rd movie, as the end of X2 seemed to set up, Jean would not have been immediatly evil upon returning, Nightcrawler would have been in the movie, and Beast and Gambit would have possibly been the new characters, Magneto may not have been as prominent as in the current X3, Xavier would not go through what he does in the current X3, Storm wouldnt have had as big a role, Rogue would have had a bigger role, Wolverine would have probably had the same screen time as he does in the current X3, but it would have been Cyclops and Xavier would have brought Jean back and her fate may have been different and i dont think the cure plot would have been introduced.

Now while the current X3 may be good, and i'm may not be right with all of my suggestions, i cant help thinking that Singers X3 would have been amazing, a movie to truly knock Batman Begins, X2 and Spiderman 2 off of their perches at the top, and it saddens me.
you don't know that. also noone knows how much influence fox would have on his version.
I'm kinda getting tired of this Singer's version would be better than Ratner's. It's kind of had to compare the two since there is no Singer's version. Also brett did the best job he could have considering the time and also fox's influence. I like the movie and think it's the best of the three. sure it could have been better, but so could have x-1 and 2. Also the shortcomings of the first two movies are justified by saying that Singer didn't have enough time or money, but Ratner had even less time and no prep time at all.
Also I really hope that brett comes back and does x-4 and that fox gives him enough time.

I would have loved her and James Marsden to pull out of it, then we would not have got a tird of a Pheonix saga.

Couldn't they have just left the phoenix saga out completely? I mean, the story could have gone into the cure and everything, and Phoenix could have been left for the dead. X2's 'firebird in the water' at least gave us hope for a big Phoenix film. So, they could have made X3 focus on the cure, and even taken the time with the Phoenix plotline to develop Storm and Wolverine's love story....you know Fox would have loved this.

I think the writer's thought "The fans want to see Phoenix, so let's put her in"...but was it worth it?

Wow, that is very interesting... where is it coming from?

I don't recall Famke saying that she didn't want to do another film. After X2 she was asked about playing Jean again and she said she wasn't sure where she'd be in her personal life by then. That maybe she'd be having babies or something like that.

Just ask J.Howlett

Last week, he mentioned that rumor was true.

Famke mentioned in a few articles that there was so much material and she admitted it they didn't stay true to most of the material and then she went on about what if the material could have been expanded and carried through into another X movie.

I think it shows that she really really loves Jean Grey and she wanted to explore more of her arc and especially with Phoenix. It shows she's compassionate about her role(s) and very committed. Thats what I like about her. :O

Retroman said to me two weeks ago that if X4 is ever made, Famke wouldn't pass on it... meaning she would do it but again I dunno. We'll see.

Even Kelsey grammer wants to do an X4. So he's ready to do another one.

Famke was so excited to do X3 when it was in it's preliminary stages. I think she knew she would have a lot to do in X3, and Jimmy was just as excited. Famke had a good role in X3...but she deserved to be the focus of the film. Although the silent aspect of the film was ok, I cringed at the lost potential when I heard Famke's "You'd die for them?" line at the end. Think about a Dark Phoenix like that throughout the movie. This movie could have been so great....and I don't think Famke expected this (especially because she reiterated that Cyclops was the one for her, not Woverine, etc. in old interviews.)

Exactly. Famke did have a fair about of screentime but still, I feel she should have been the main focus.
