Six New Posters!

I hate that comedian poster. Reminds me of Hellboy in all the wrong ways.
I also hate the quote they chose for Ozy. It's like they're officially marketing him as the villain.
But otherwise, I love Ozy's poster. His costume looks wonderful there.

Without knowing the plot, making sacrifices for a peaceful world sounds more heroic than villainous.

Some are a bit hit and miss for me. But i think we can all agree that silk spectres backside looks amazing.

Someone posted: "I don't know why but Ozymandias reminds me of Bowie as a superhero." as a comment on SHH's main article for this, and I thought,

"But isn't that perfect? Veidt was kind of like David Bowie. 1980's time line, check. Awesome hair, check. Possibly homosexual? Check."

You forgot the silly costumes.

The film's version of Adrian meets Bowie in the opening montage and Matthew Goode said he felt like Bowie while wearing the costume.

That's all well and good, although I can't stop seeing Robin when looking at him. At least it was intentional.

Oh yeah, David Bowie is in this! Not the real one, I know, but it's still ****ing awesome. That man is a ****ing legend.

Malin looks hot in the poster!
Comedians is my favorite out of all the posters...Rorschach and Manhattans second

Silly costumes were implied; no one will ever forget his spandexed self as Jareth.

Also - they need to make these available for print. I want some for my barren apartment.

Sweet. I have the Rorscach one as my desktop. And hot damn to the Silk Spectre's ass!

UUGGGGHHHH!!!!!!!!!!! I hate it when studios do this, when they send out posters or pics of the same set one to each different website. It annoys me to no end, then we end up with crap like this. These are all awesome but only The Comedian and Ozymandias' are good size and quality. The rest are crappy low quality pics not even worth saving. Why don't they just release the whole set in good quality to the fans damn it??? And some of the sites they sent them to, what the hell???? Entertainment Weekly, MTV, Access Hollywood???? Come one, these are all pop culture gossip rags sites and mags. I know they are trying to widen the audience who gets exposed to the film but these are exactly the sites that messed up the pics and that don't know or couldn't care less about this film.

.

Let's face it, Veidt is a businessman (which screams villain nowadays), and he's something of an egomaniac as well. Someone's going to figure out he's the villain at some point during the film, simply because Moloch just isn't enough of a distraction. The weight of Veidt's use in WATCHMEN is not "Surprise, THIS guy is the villain!". It's what he does and why, how far he's willing to go, and how that figures into the overall themes and exploratory concepts of the story.

All posters look like ugly CGI and Photoshop. And the taglines are damm redundant.

I like it better those darkened ones, without the lines and with the yellow "Watchmen".

Check 'em out!

OMG!!! Chris O' Donnell from Batman and Robin!!!!!!!! :wow:

I don't know who this character is... but wow... just wow!

I have never read the book... so this movie is targeting me as though I were part of the general public, and it is SOOOOOO not grabbing me at all.

Manhattan - I'm not real wild about this one. Something about Manhattan in a suit in the rain doesn't grab me.

Nite-Owl - One of the best. I love his pose and his expression. The quote along with the background mob, plus Nite-Owl's tense appearance gives the poster a feel of desperation.

Ozymandias - Also cool. I absolutely adore the quote. I hope his Batman-and-Robinesque costume doesn't put off the average moviegoer.

Rorshach - Wonderful, just wonderful. Much better than the poster of Rorshach with his back to us with the same quote.

Silk Spectre - Probably the worst of the bunch, just because the poster's tagline is so lame compared to the others.

Comedian - Awesome! I love how he's using the flamethrower to light a cigar. I kinda wish the tagline was a little less noble and more bad*** though.

The Manhattan one is unbelievable in high-res. Everybody looks perfect.

The problem with Manhattan is the stupid make-up. The rest is a great and important scene that was badly cut into a poster.

Nite Owl is cool, but it is a different conception from the book. It's a more plain version of him.

Ozy is ridiculous. A horrible Robin. How I wish it was more David Bowie-like.

Rorschach is the best, together with Silk.

But they are very uneven. What is worst, they feel so artificial: almost as if they were all computer generated images. :cmad:

I love the Comedian's poster! Spectre's could have been better.

The more I look at SS's face - the more I become confused. What a terrible angle.

Also, now seeing the high res of Manhattan, I'm also distracted by the angle of his face. They could have used a better angle - something less awkward.

Just my opinion.
