The fact that Secret Invasion #1 shows a Skrull sneaking away from a Baxter Building tour to disguise itself as Sue leads me to believe Sue's history is unchanged. If Skrull-Sue was already in place there would be no need to sneak inside in such a manner.

Maybe when Sue left Reed during Civil War, she really left him and never came back. The skrulls saw this as an oppurtunity to replace her. I really dont think she's been replaced for that long.

I think this is a very good hypothesis......and with all that was going on in and after Civil War........this could have slipped by those that know her best.....NO ONE was acting themselves during this time....

Well that's an understatement.

I didn't see that one coming, especially with all the "Reed must be a skrull" rumors we had floating around the past couple of months.

Should be interesting.

The one question I have about this is where the hell is the real Sue then?

I mean the same question could be applied to any of these characters that have been "replaced".

So now we've got, what, three Sue's running around loose? There's the Skrull Sue inside the Baxter Building (Lyja?), a 70's-costumed Invisible Girl coming out of the Skrull Ship, and the real (?) Sue in Vancouver.

I'm guessing if Sue really was replaced it happened during Civil War, or while Reed and Sue were at Titan when the Frightful Four attacked her.

Some scary utilization of Sue's powers. Only she's had the fine tuned abilities like pressing on a certain part of the brain. Doesn't look good.

One can only hope that: 1) She pretended to pass out; 2) She projected an extremely thin body-hugging field that the Skrull didn't sense; 3) He's keeping her alive for a good reason.

The next few panels show Skrull-Sue opening the portal and apologizing to Johnny when he tells her to use her force fields. She tries to convince him that Ben is a Skrull but gives herself away for failing a pop quiz question from him, then reveals herself to be… Lyja.

Just finished reading this issue

I actually enjoyed it more then Millars first arc. It was fun read. I'm tired of villains finding more unique ways to use powers then good guys, but it always happens. The last panel would have had more of an effect on me had known who Lyja was. All in all, I'm excited for the next issue. Too bad I don't think any of this little Secret Invasion side stories are going to have any "real" effect on the story.

Damn right.....Sue has come into the 21st Century.....FINALLY.....



Even though the Marvel Knights issues already brought her into the 21st Century, its nice to see the original brought there as well.
