Well, what do you know, Ems *will* prevail over the thought-wall.

Love Ems to death, but, please, do be careful x-office. The Pixie thingy in UXM was lame. Just... be careful.

Anyway, mini's been rock solid so far, so I'm giving Mike the benefit of the doubt.

Secret Invasion: X-Men #3 will arrive in stores on Oct. 29 from Marvel Comics. The issue is written by Mike Carey, with art by Cary Nord and a cover by Terry Dodson.

Here's how Marvel describes the issue:

"Emma Frost fights alone against the Skrull thought-wall and Anole goes deep behind enemy lines as the guerrilla war turns into a war of extermination. Hank McCoy searches for the secret weapon that will give the X-Men a decisive advantage: but using it may be worse than losing the war..."

Secret Invasion: X-Men #3 will be 32 pages and will cost $2.99

All this and no skrull in the biggest team in the Marvel Universe? And I mean that members wise, not importance wise, cause the Avengers are clearly more important.

I always thought it was strange that Marvel didn't really imply a Skrull infiltration in the X-Men. Like in that online trailer they released a while back, it showed the Avengers base, the Baxter Building, and the Sanctum Sanctorum. It'd be too easy to slip a few of their own into the X-Men's ranks, but... nothing.

I suppose the X-Men are basically a more close-off community than other superhero groups, and the Skrulls rely on impersonating people to infiltrate, impersonating someone who has to live and act close to a large amount of people makes their secrecy a lot more difficult imo, besides, X-Men have too many enemies, both from the government and outside, a factor which also complicates the Skrulls' work.

I guess that makes sense. No point in infiltrating the X-Men if they're getting hunted down by giant government robots or thrown into concentration camps every other week.

I thought they did. There were teaser shots with X-men characters as Skrulls and there were several covers, especially Cyclops ones with him as a skrull

I always took those images as seriously as the zombie variant covers, or the ape covers they're doing these days. Showing me a picture of a Skrull Phoenix doesn't really raise my suspicions.

Good thing is that the story is far more enjoyable than the art.

At least there's something good.

oh yeah...what was up with the gay jokes (implied) that bobby and Sam (of all people) were cracking, along with Kurt?

The X-Men's guerrilla tactics force Commander H'Kurrek to take ruthless measures against the people of San Francisco. Thousands of lives are at stake, and there are only minutes in which to ask: but are the X-Men prepared to descend to the same tactics as their enemies, and target the innocent in order to win a war?

It was such a treat to see Sunspot, Cannonball and ESPECIALLY Magma in the same panel. I loves Amara

I like 90% of this title (10% minus because of the art and coloring), feel kind of taps into the reality.
