Skyline

I'm surprised that a decent amount of people are interested in this movie since the directors directed AVP:R which was panned by posters here in general.

It has aliens....and they are attacking.

That is an instant ticket sale for me. :)

I'm surprised that a decent amount of people are NOT interested in this movie.

If you think I am hating on this movie, then the answer is that I'm not,I just felt that I had to point out what I said. I would also like to point out that I am slightly interested in the movie, just in case you think that I am hating on it.

This might be Legion all over again, minus the star power.

No, I wasn't singling you out as someone that I thought was hating, just replied rewording your post because it says now what I think....I'm surprised that more people aren't interested in this movie.

I hadn't been reading anything about it...a few days ago me and the wife saw the first preview...we both instantly looked at each other and said DATENIGHT!!!! Giant aliens stomping things, dogfights between jets, helicopters, and spaceships, lots of things blowing up.....looks like fun. The angst driven morality dramas that critics love are for home viewing....we want to go to the theater to have fun.

Alrighty.

I'm super excited for this flick. Maybe i'm the only one...

No, I'm excited for it too. I'm not expecting a strong plot or academy acting. But it'll sure be a fun action fest like last year's 2012, which I also enjoyed.

I really like the look of this, just because the directors have done one bad movie doesnt mean all of their movies will be bad, this looks like huge fun.

I think the fact that the alien ship's tractor beam is actually a hypnosis type thing is a nice little twist that makes it a little more original than just being typically abducted.

I didn't even know this movie existed until yesterday when I saw a TV spot for it.

The tv spot caught me by surprise on Wednesday night. I hadn't heard or seen anything about it in a while. The movie definitely looks fun.

This for some reason reminds me of D-Wars for some darn reason :) Looks cool in the trailers, but most likely will suck for a majority of the movie:whatever:

The ONLY reason I'm seeing this is in hopes it sucks and doesn't come too close to the script I am writing.

That was kinda the reaction I had with Eragon. Its epic suckitude gave me a nice jump start on my own sword/sorcery script.

To be fair, the kid who wrote Eragon ( book ) was 15 y/o at the time AND get published, it also sold very well.

As long as you don't use Star Wars plot mixed with Lord of the Ring and ridiculous or rip off characters name you should be fine :)

King Galbatorix : yeah, it sounds straight out of an Asterix & Obelix comic book :)

The trailer actually wasn't bad. And I was expecting something horrible but I was surprised by just how non sucky it looks. I mean it doesn't look like the most original movie on the block but it looks entertaining.

Little bit of trivia, this flick was made for 20 million bones. FX house called Hydralux did the work for cheap because they said they could make CG just as good as the larger houses without that much cost, according to a couple interviews. So this thing could still make a profit if it stays in theatres for a few weeks.

Actually, I was referring to the movie. The book is alright.
