Smallville Rip-Offs

This is not meant to be a negative thread in anyway. I just thought having a thread where we talk about Freak Of The Weeks and how they rip off other heros villians would be fun.

So I'll start with proably a less talked about one from Season 1. Sashas the evil presidential candiate ablity to control bee's are very similar to Marvel super villian Swarm who has fought hero's such as both Spidermen and the X-men I believe.

We can also use this thread to talk about how stories and characters in Smallville are similar to other characters, such as the Lex/Lionel relationship in the early seasons is very similar to the Harry/Norman relationship in Spider-Man, which is possibly the reason that Gough and Millar were part of the Spider-Man 2 writing team.

Or a Chamelon rip off, but shape shifters are very common in SC-Fi.

Would anyone consider the very first Freak of the Week an Electro rip-off

He was caught in the Metor shower as the scarecrow, I forget how that translates into have power over electricty when Lex was mere meters away

The problem with elemental enemies, is they are all ripping off something, since there is only so many elements to use.

Spidey basically has every element covered as far as enemies go.

his character sort of reminds me of Max Dillon from TAS on MTV. A geek who gets superpowers and gets revenge on the jocks who made fun of him.
