With my brother and sister and my friend who won't move out of my house. It also occured to me that poerhaps the best way to stretch the experiance is to GO DRUNK. That way it will be awesome yet hazy on recollection and when I go the second and third time it will still seem very fresh.

At IMAX, Wednesday the 16th, 9 pm. I don't know why, but it opens at IMAX one day before the nationwide release, which is in turn one day before the official release.

Well, my local IMAX has just a few days ago started selling tickets to TDK. Now unfortunately my parents are both unavailable and unwilling to take me on the first day, let alone the midnight premiere, so, compromising I bought tickets for the next day, Saturday. Now, my debate is, do I wait until Saturday to experience the movie on the the 2nd day in all its IMAX glory, or do I go with my friends (who can't be bothered getting imax tickets) on the first day and see it in a regular (crappy) theater and then see it again in IMAX the following day?

What do you think?

personally i dont think TDK needs any help, id wait for IMAX, nolan and pfister both said thats the way the film is intended to be seen....although, to be honest, if i were in your shoes i wouldnt be able to do it. i have to see it friday.

actually, if i were you, i'd ride my bike all the way to the IMAX. how far away is it?

Is anyone elses AMC theater throwing a buffet party at midnight for TDK? the heiniken girls will be there and i guess its liek a party. I went to see Wall-E yesterday and there's flyers everywhere.

my brother is busy and has made time to see tdk at midnight at our regular theater...and then saturday im seeing it in imax so i can pretty much nerdgasm all by myself...

I was thinking this as well. Would it make the experience better or worse? Imagine getting high seeing this movie? The things Joker does may amplify your paranoia ten fold.

what BETTER way to introduce yourself to imax then to go see TDK. It really isnt as bad as SOMe people claim. but it IS as FANTASTIC as most claim... if you sit in the direct middle, last row, you sure to haeva perfect mix of a right sized screen and full on sound that will blow you away. Imax is teh way to go absolutley. regular theaters are so ***** compared to it.

If you can afford it...do both. While I prefer to see it first in IMAX and then compare in a regular theatre...I would also do it the other way around if my circumstances were like yours.

I'm seeing it at the reg. theater day of the 18th, then I might drive up to Louisville the next day to see the IMAX if its playing up there

I'm seeing the 4:00 am show in IMAX in NYC.

It's gonna be in the same theater I saw the advanced screening of the TDK prologue in.

I could just as easily watch it for free at work but I'd rather experience it in IMAX, so I paid the 18 dollars.
