--- based on the latest episode, where Skye reveals that she's been trying to find out the mystery of who her parents were-- she apparently grew up in foster homes/orphanages, and SHIELD has blacked out any hints or specific mentions of just who her parents are/were.

Coulson is "different" since 'dying' in the Battle of NYC. Possibly memory lapses, etc. Hmmm...

Maybe Skye is Ward's long-lost sister instead. Didn't he mention being in a foster home with his brothers? They bore me so much that I can't remember every detail of their po-faced reminiscences.
